Putting it on manually at a lower temperature for a few hours morning & evening.
Won't consider auto timer on higher temperature until it's consistently quite a bit colder.4 -

The house felt cold when we got back so we had the heating on for a couple of hours last night. I have three loads of laundry to do so I am using the heated airer to dry some of it and I have put the dehumidifier on in that room too.

And so it begins. The thermostat said the house was at 13.5 c so the heating has gone on. I will turn it off as soon as it hots 17c. I always do it manually so that we are not heating the house if we are either warm enough or not going to be in.5

When I turned up thermostat it came on at 16...kept it on for 30 minutes.
Always on constant and I control with thermostat.
Very lucky to have a good credit balance thanks to Octopus after loosing WFA...I was eligible for £279 .

We have literally been having our heating on for 15 minutes in the morning for the last few weeks now.
It takes about 30 minutes to cool down once it's turned off so we get 45 minutes of decent heat.4 -
Still off. Judging by current mild temperatures I am still some distance from unpacking my heated blankets too.
To get rid of any residual dampness from laundry dried outside, I will be using the Dri-Buddy. Heating a room for that purpose is just too expensive. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Still off....Looks like the temperature down south wont drop til the beginning of next month so I can get to November without needing it.
