It felt mild outside today, yet freezing inside. I was tempted to stick the heating on, but decided to make do with my heated throw instead.

We barely put ours on over winter so ours is most definitely off.
Thats the bonus of having a semi detached house, a neighbour who has an immune disease, thin walls as well as reptiles and dogs
We have the blanket box still in the living room as everyone likes to cuddle under one of them in the evening if there is a nip in the air, and we have three dogs so they are all (well two of them) like giant hot water bottles whereas the small dog just squishes in where they can.
Our living room is the coldest room in the house since it doesnt get the sun until about 1pm so doesnt really have time to heat up but this is where the vivarium is so that puts off a suprising amount of heat and keeps a chill off. Its also the room we spend most time in and is a welsh miners cottage so between the viv, 3 dogs, and usually 3/4 people - its quite snug and warm thankfully

Heating wont go back on now until October - possibly even November depending on the weather.

It felt cold this morning and I put the heating on for a while. I went out just now and it is quite nice and sunny here so I put my washing outside on the line when I got back. I checked Ovo and we are still £65 in credit.

We are in a council property and on a meter so they wont let us change it so I try my best to stock it up before the winter kicks in.
We were entitled to the fuel vouchers and found that £60 did us for about a month and a half. Its only our hot water and heating that uses gas so trying to keep that to a minimum helps us loads. :-)

Still off here, and been off since march.....even though Ive been shivering some days! (and I am using an old fleece jacket as my 'house coat'!LOL).
Also bought a couple of fitted fleece jumpers from Primark so Im basically layering up in the day to stay warm.
Concessions made though for the storage heater in the bathroom (Im not doing naked and freezing cold!), also I have an electric blanket so at least I get into a nice warm bed too!
  • Yesterday was a fabulous day for a sunny 17degC with a light breeze - ideal washing weather and I got 3 lots done :)

You're right not to scrimp @JackieO , given your health. Today has been very sunny and humid - the seafront was hot this afternoon. It feels very close and there is a heavy rain warning for this evening. I had to chase a thunderfly out of the window earlier!

@London_1 I hope you are keeping yourself comfortable JackieO x

No heating on here but have had a few quick blasts of the fire to take a bit of a nip off in the afternoon when the kids are coming in out of the rain after school and work.

We are on 15 degrees here in south wales today but its mostly cloudy and I think we have rain this afternoon due. I have done a load of washing that I want to hang out and see if I can get it mostly dry though. Forecast is showing rain over Swindon way so I have a few hours yet.
Although apparently we are set for 20 degrees on the weekend so I'm hoping to have the garden sorted and tidy by then so I can enjoy it and make the most of it.
