I leave mine on at 15/16 but its coming on more often to keep it that way and the smart meter is showing I'm using more energy.3

I usually put my dressing gown on over my clothes and use a stone hot water bottle if I'm still cold @Florenceem. I need to try to keep the costs down as my rent is going up £140 per month in May..3

I tend to turn my heating up to 15/16 late afternoon. Once the house is at that temperature I turn it back down to 12 or 13 When I sit down in the evening I have a thick heated throw. If I am doing other things around the house I wear layers. I am not cold at night as I have fleece bedding and a patchwork quilt on the bed. OH and I were discussing today that we think we have adapted to less heat since we started cutting back. If either of us is feeling uncomfortably cold we do turn up the heating and I turn up when visitors are in the house. We have noticed that we are less prone to colds than when we had the heating higher. I open all the windows for 15 minutes every morning unless there are high winds. I am conscious that with less heat the house needs to be well ventilated to prevent damp.5

I don't use a timer for heating just turn thermostat up when needed.
Yesterday was cold..I was out all morning so didn't put it on until at 3pm when it came on at 12 degrees.
Usually happy at 15 or 16 degrees4
