Ours is on 3 hours in the morning @21deg and around 6 hours each evening @22deg
Mrs Indout also has fire on in main room if needed during the day. she has pulse problems and is extremely cold most of the time so it is needed.
running at around £9.00 / day for gas & electric at the moment which is £1 down on last winter but can see that going up with the weather forecasted for the next week (not getting past 2deg until next Tuesday and down at -4 at night.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy5 -
My heat was at 18 when I got up, down from 20 last night
I pushed it up to 20 as soon as I got up and now I'm thinking of pushing it up another degree or more if needed4 -
Mins is still off but temps forecast this week the possibility of putting the heating on is highly likely.
Ambient temp's in my house have been a steady 12-13° for about 4-5 weeks now, however since Saturday they've dipped and I'm getting reading's of 10.6-11.4°. Closer to 10° is where I start to feel the cold.
But when I'm not actively doing anything around the house i feel a chill and either sit with a blanket over me or a fleece dressing gown.

Mine is definitely on as my joints just won't work if I'm cold. I looked out this morning and my car looked like an igloo its quite a frosty day here in north Kent today.
I'm not even going to venture out when its this cold and icy I've had enough of hospitals this year (I worked it out I've had over two months since last Christmas in them ) and certainly don't want to see another one for a good long while So I put mine on, and keep all the doors shut to keep the heat in, lots of hot drinks as well

Still off but the recent weather with it overcast and cold has been a real tester (46f in the lounge/kitchen this morning). The water bottle has been handy the last few days, fits snugly over a jumper and under a fleece - have also treated myself to a pair of slippers arriving tomorrow as the laminate flooring is not the warmest even with socks on. Forecast is not great with barely above freezing for 3 days and minus 4 or 5 for a couple of nights and no sign of sunshine4

I dont have central heating but Im keeping my little electric heater on all day now in my front room (its where me and the pets hang out all day!). That gets me up to about 15C which is fine with plenty of layers on.
Rest of the house is about 11C though, which is flippin' freezing. I have an electric blanket for the bed though and 3 small dogs/hot water bottles so its nice and toasty.
My only issue is the kitchen....if it gets too cold in there the freezer turns itself off!5 -
I haven't been outside yet, but my husband has been out to the garden with our dog and he said it is very cold. I went downstairs to make a cup of tea and it is 14 downstairs according to my thermometer so I just switched the heating on. I think having the small cracks in the upstairs and downstairs walls fixed over the summer has helped a lot as it got down to 11 or 12 last winter in the house.
I was looking at my OVO bill yesterday and we are spending about £6- £7 a day on gas and electric. That is having the heating on about 5-6 hours each day.
Having a fleecy blanket on the sofa really helps in the evening and I will break out the hot water bottles tonight as well. I know how to live!
