We've changed from cotton sheets to flannelette ones and so far that's sufficient to be warm enough in bed.  We use a summer weight duvet all year round, but when it gets colder I'll supplement that with a wool blanket between the top sheet and the duvet.  We nearly always have the bedroom window open a little, even in winter - I find it quite stuffy if it's not open.

We have the heating on for about 40 mins in the morning, then it's off.  We play it by ear as to whether it needs to go on later in the evenings.  So far, a throw draped over the knees does the job if it's a bit chilly.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.

Still very mild here but I have now got used to getting snuggly with a book in the evenings rather than doing anything that mighty involve other people. Its dark outside and I don't want to go out again this evening. Perhaps I am just getting on a bit now :)
I'm the same lol, i hate going out once i'm in for the evening, especially when it's getting dark.

I've just moved from a semi to a terraced and i can definitely feel the difference ! I was under my heated throw already in the semi 2 weeks ago, yet here i am in a mid-terrace with the temperature reading a lovely 18.9 degrees at half 9.  Not even felt the cold in this house yet.

I've seen 17.5 on the thermostat now, still don't need heating.
However, the condensation in my bedroom of a morning is getting bad (with 2 small windows always open a little beyond cracked and all trickle vents open) , that is the cold room and I'd estimate it's at least 2-3 degrees below the thermostat location.
So, I may turn the kitchen /bathroom/living room radiators off/ down, and set the heating to come on for 15 minutes in the morning to heat the bedroom only for now.
  • Sunny again here but a cool breeze. The nights don’t feel as cold as my weather app says it is… it was never 2 degrees last night.

You’d think you can rely on the met office!
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.

Our heating came on overnight - lovely and warm this morning! However, it's now so mild out that I've been walking round the town in a tee shirt.
