C/H still off for me, I'm still acclimatizing. Last week upstairs/downstairs temps were 15-15.5*C, they back up to 16-16.5 again for me a noticeable difference.
Going by the forecast over next 10 day's, it still won't be on. But me being me, it'll need to drop down to a cold temp for multiple days before I begrudgingly turn it on.5 -
Ours is set to come on twice a day controlled by thermostat. I've heard it click on a couple of times this month at 6am for a very short while. Currently averaging about 40p a day on the smart meter for gas. We have a combi boiler. Weather here is reasonably mild and quite dry for SW Wales.3

Thanks for the responses - seems I'm not alone then
! I think my being a bit of a fresh air fiend (bedroom window always opened overnight even if just a crack all year round) possibly helps as well with the lack of overnight heating....
But also made me realise this approach is possibly one of privilege a little, ie. I have no 'need' for heating overnight whereas others do! @Primrose my parents are coming up to retirement in the next year and have the same sentiments on popping clogs!Aim:12mth Emergency Fund -> £14264/£17076 (83%) Aim 2: Mortgage Overpayment -> Paused until other aim fulfilled.2 -
I've broken the quote button again....
Anyway yes I'm bottom of Yorkshire @Cherryfudge, not so many miles further and I'd be back in Lincolnshire!
Boiler is off here too. Himself has a shower when he comes in from work so it goes on for that. In my last house I let the digital thermostat control the gig (10 degrees overnight, 14 in the day when it was very cold, then 18 for a few hours in the evening). The thermostat in this house is a dial type and it's in the hall, so I've that to figure out.
We have a lovely looking gas fire in the lounge. When we moved in I got the boiler/rads/gas fire serviced and had to ask the man how to use it ha haa! Turns out it's very ineffective if you want to heat the room, but it looks that part. Thank god it's nowhere near cold here yet.I oppose genocide. I support freedom of speech. For those not familiar with Yorkshire distances, it's a very big area and we are at opposite ends.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

It's beautiful up there, I used to visit a friend in Yarm. That was when I lived in Driffield, it was a lovely drive up. I used to love driving up to my friend in Hawick too, that really was an amazing drive. Funny, she hated it and moved down this end.I oppose genocide. I support freedom of speech. It is quite warm here today. 19.6 in my living room. I had to take off my cardigan as I got hot from walking around outside.3

Not so warm here outside in Hertfordshire today although it has warmed somewhat since it has rained 🤨🤨 Still fairly ok indoors though so not complaining. Our hall has a stone floor and the temperature is 17c in there which isn't too bad because it is always warmer in the living room which has oak flooring. The upstairs is fully carpeted except for the bathroom and that is 18.5 today on the landing.

Heating not on yet, I am in Glasgow, I normally wait until the second half of November before considering whether to put it on or not. Going by how expensive it will be I might wait until the second half of December.Like good food and drink?
Try Hotel Chocolat and Baileys.
