Mild again today, actually polo shirt weather & at times a bit "close".  November is shaping up to be mild, those of us who got the full £1350 heating bung are going to be able to squirrel some away at this rate.

I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.

We are in Colintraive in Argyll and have had the stove on a few nights when the house temp has dropped under 14/15 degrees. Currently cosy in bed with second cup of tea and our snuggly rescue sighthound Barra tucked up under the duvet with me. Making a list of chores to do to keep me warm.
I am not a doggy person but I started to see the advantages when I visited a friend recently and her furry dog parked itself on my stockinged feet. I was quite happy for it to stay put.

Today was absolutely beautiful - 18 degrees and sunny! It is supposed to tip it down tomorrow but it will still be mild. We're expecting 20 degrees on Thursday which is incredible but I sure as heck am not complaining.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

Heating still off in South East Wales, lovely and warm this morning but had torrential downpours and hail this evening. Usually hold out until November before heating goes on. So hoping we can do it, luckily it has been quite mild.

So far this year I've only really needed heating on damp days, or when I get home having spent the night on the red-eye and am so exhausted I can't get warm. Unfortunately WFH means sitting still which means my office (NW facing) needs to be around 22C to be comfortable - my biological thermostat has packed up since having covid, as I used to run hot and be happy at 18C working and 16C if I was moving around. Now I run cold, particularly if I'm not moving ... which I do less of because of the fatigue. Luckily it's been mild so far this year, so the thermostat hasn't kicked in often, and if it has at times I'm not working, I've been able to turn it off.

Turned ours off for now, seems like a mild week ahead.
