I don't like the idea of having the heating fan on overnight. We have a Dys0n hot and cold and it probably would be okay but I remember years ago we had a small air heater and my OH left it on for me after getting out of bed and going to the bathroom. It caught on fire. Luckily I noticed fast and was able to put it out without much problem but that scared me so much that I don't leave heated electric items on when not supervised. We just make sure that the room is heated enough before sleeping and take hot water bottles with us into bed when it gets cold.
The heating hasn't been on yet here.
My disability had me a little cold yesterday night while we were watching TV, so I wrapped up in a blanket. OH was fine as he didn't try and share the blanket as he would if he was also cold. I've noticed my worse side is feeling the cold more this year, especially my leg that is worse, even when it isn't that cold. I'm looking into getting some leg warmers as I think that would help. I already have many different arm warmers and that certainly helped for my arms.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy6 -

I see that people have their heating turn on overnight (here/other social media posts) likely I assume because the thermostat is set to say 15 degrees or such so it automatically clicks in.
I've grown up (ie. my parents do this) always setting the thermostat to 0/minimum before going to bed so no heating clicks in overnight. We then either manually turn it up for a bit of heat in the mornings or, (for me as I'm only awake/in the property for less than an hour each weekday morning) not turn it up at all until the evening.
It made me wonder... are we alone in our approach/ do other people have their heating 'off' completely overnight? It's not that we're tight (although in today's times maybe we need to be) but I guess it certainly helps with fuel costs ....
(nb. heating is most definitely off in all scenarios currently, day or night!)
I've rarely known it come on when set to 14C, so, while not absolutely off, it's effectively off for now.
Another quite mild day today, similar in and out and the bedroom window is wide open because the air is so nice.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

We haven't had the heating on here at all yet. When it does go on it's only for a few hours in the evening. I have never (and could never) have heating in the night. If I'm cold in bed I either put a blanket on the bed, or it's a regular thing I change up to the thick duvet.
I've never put the heating on in the morning to get up, I don't hang about so I'm not long enough doing anything to need it ha haa!
This does keep bills down, but that's more of a bi-product of my preferences. Even if heat was free I still couldn't bear it overnight or need it in the morning. So it's not just you @KerrehI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.3 -
You must not be far away from me @Cherryfudge, we seem to have the same weather. Not quite as warm here today I think, the breeze is taking the edge off the lovely sunny warmth.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4

My hot water on an hour in morning and afternoon. My luxury is a hot bath early evening.
I have neighbours all around and my flat is currently 18c which is fine for me6 -
No heating on here at all at the moment. South facing bedrooms, kitchen, and dining room always helps. Currently 18c downstairs and 19c on the landing so that is cosy enough for us. We never have any heating on overnight and if it is a little chilly we both have a hot water bottle before any heat goes on.

We're on the north-west coast but some hardy types are still walking about in shorts and/or no jacket. Saw a young woman in a sleeveless top yesterday, meanwhile I'm wearing a long-sleeved tee, jumper and fleece. Felt a bit over-dressed.
Heating's been coming on for about 15 mins in the morning if it drops below 18 degrees, same in the evening. Smart meter says it's costing around 30p each time.4
