Is your heating ON or OFF?

Heating ON today, because I felt sorry for husband working from home with a horrible cold, He was wearing three layers and had a fleece blanket but still felt rotten and cold. We have individual TRVs on the radiators and are all on lowest setting.6

After cooking last night the living room was around 20 5c so no heating required.
Still feels really warm down here maybe because upstairs is cold, and is currently 18c.
If we get cold or humidity inside goes too high then its going on but happy to try to use it much less this winter.5 -
I've recently left our thermostat set to 16C which I normally count as cold indoors, and while it's not been warm, it's not too cold either. I'm generally quite healthy though, so I don't think it will hurt me. Today the heating switched itself on because I was in and out of the house, and this evening I've turned it up to the giddy heights of 17C because it's raining and DH is a bit under the weather and well... I wanted more warmth!
I'll turn it off soon. I made do during the day while DH was at work by either being out and about or sitting with a heated pad and a thick cardigan over a jumper. I'm considering the possibility that I've got used to summer heat so things feel cold by contrast. If it were spring and the temperature went to twelve or thirteen, which is what it's been outside today, I'd feel it was quite warm.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It was cold this evening. Put central heating on for an hour which was enough. Usually I'd have it on for all waking hours when the weather is cool like now.
I really object to being cold and as much as I resent the exorbitant prices, I'll work with it to an extent.5 -

I was reading yesterday afternoon and feeling very chilly so I went to get one of my warm cardigans. I went out for a walk and it was quite sunny and reasonably warm outside! I think I just get chilled in my house as it is old and I have to make sure I don't sit around for too long.
I have switched to thermal leggings in bed now and it is much better than my old PJ bottoms. I think I will get rid of them as they are quite old and tatty anyway.
I did buy a pedal machine as they are supposed to be good for getting the blood flowing if you have any type of mobility problems, or even if you don't obviously. It does seem to get my heart rate up according to my Fitibit so I am doing that for at least 30 mins a day. It does warm me up.
My heating is still off but I am keeping an eye on the thermometer which is still 16-18 during the day. My dog was shivering in the night so I have put her in one of her winter coats and she was fine last night. She feels the cold generally so I usually have to do this when the weather turns chilly. The other dog I used to have was fine in the cold and he used to even like the snow. He was a long haired chihuahua.:)2025 GOALS

I had to look up long haired chihuahuas - my friend has a short haired one and little dogs like that must need an extra layer. The long haired ones are beautiful though and have a good write up. (Memo to self: I do not need a chihuahua).
I have an image in my mind of you wiring up your pedal machine to some sort of turbine and generating your electricity for free as you pedal! Just for fun I googled and oh look! Someone's done it! Not me, honest.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
