I get asked the same question when I'm on the phone to my mum. the answer is its off at the moment because its above 10 celcius in here. I leave it on 10 right through the summer- it never comes on. and in the wimter I also leave it on 10 for as long as I dare. then when I feel that winter chill I turn it up to 15. and thats all it needs. I cant be doing with turning it on n off all the time.5

It was lovely weather here today. My living room thermometer was 22.2. I wore sandals when I went out for a walk.4

It's been a bit chilly this past week, but I'm in the south with double glazing, so still no heating. Even though my flat faces north, I still have a window which gets afternoon sun, and that's the one I make sure to have the curtains wide open on after lunch. Our block isn't connected to the gas which makes the decision to turn the heating on a bigger one as it's more expensive and the electric radiators aren't quite as warm as traditional ones.Mortgage start date: 01/10/2021

Our thermostat is still on 16 but the heating took matters into its own hands and switched itself on last night while I was at work. DH noticed, felt he didn't need it and switched it off again.
I noticed it had sneakily switched on overnight when I got up for an early shift, but it had seen me coming and switched off by itself. I think the night and a downpour must have dropped the temperature but today has been lovely so it's off. In fact, it's been tee shirt weather this afternoon despite being in the north. This evening I have a fleece on over the tee shirt and a blanket on my knees and definitely no need of heating yet.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

No heating on here yet either. We are in Hertfordshire and the weather has been lovely and sunny yesterday and today. We are south facing so the kitchen, dining room, and 2 bedrooms get the sun all day. We bought this house not only because we loved it but the fact that it is south facing too. We are so pleased we did because the autumn and winter sun makes such a difference to our indoor temperature.

No heating here yet, I'm in north devon. Sunny enough this afternoon that I have washing on the line, and my living room is even getting sunshine. I try not to put it on until December, but DH and I will start "discussing" it in late October/early Nov as usualMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I can't believe how pleasant it has been here today. I walked along the esplanade this afternoon and there were plenty of swimmers and shirtless folk enjoying the weather. My home is also a very comfortable temperature so all is wellI am convinced I live in the best place (for me).No man is worth crawling on this earth.
