Completely overcast with lots of showers, forecast max is 17c so I don't think the 18.3c indoors at the moment is likely to rise unless there is some late breaking sun

Mine is still off. I'm mid-way through having my single glazed windows replaced with double glazing- should be finished today so looking forward to seeing how much longer I can go before switching it on and the difference it should make- I am expecting great things.
You should certainly  see a massive reduction in dripping condensation on the windows  after all those frosty nights!

When we had single glazing I had to go round with a cloth every morning mopping up all the moisture on the windowsills.   Think no more rotten woodwork and need to repaint.  Bliss!
This was us this time last year.  Had our horrible single-glazed windows replaced with DG.  I hated the condensation and the warped wood.
The difference last winter was really noticable, and also was cooler in summer so was reflecting more heat.
The only thing to watch out for is more mildew now the house is air-tight!
Indoor temp is still around 20c so doing well so far here

A year after moving into our new house 45 years ago we had secondary double glazing fitted which was quite popular then.  We subsequently had proper double glazed windows fitted throughout, and because our neighbour's house next door was identical, with identical size windows,  we gave her our secondary double glazing .

For  the price of a carpenter to install new beading round the window edges she was able to double glaze her house for virtually nothing.  The only problem with this method is that condensation can form quickly between the two layers of glass if you open a window when it,s cold to get some ventilation.
  • Still off for now. It's been a little nippy here and there, but certainly nothing that can't be combatted with extra clothing.

Yes, it works - ask me how I know.   :)
