Storage heaters back on , but just on quite low for now. I have a good amount of credit on my account, so won't feel too bad putting it on a bit!

  • I’m trying to hold out till October half term but there has been lots of mutterings from the peanut gallery, though I’ve suggested that really helpful invention called long sleeved tshirts and jumpers might be the way to go.

Definitely dropped at night here but using blankets for now, hoping to hold off until November if possible.

It’s definitely got cold this week.

Ours has clicked on for about 15 minutes each of the last three mornings.  It’s set to 17C in the mornings and evenings and 15c through the day.  10 at night but I’ve never known it to actually come on.  However it’s been on at 6 instead of 5 as clearly we didn’t have the heating on in March when the clocks changed.  I’ve just had to look up how to reset the clock as I’m sometimes out at work by 5:30.

Thats only in the living/dining room and office though.  Our bedroom has the TRV on 1 to take any chill off, then the other rooms have the radiators off as there’s no point heating them.  I turn it on in the conservatory if I’m actually in there though.

All ready for another winter of WFH.  Lots of layers and hot drinks.
  • Still holding out. Wearing two pairs of trousers, two fleeces and two blankets over me when sitting. It's 17 degrees in the warmest room. Sun is supposed to shine tomorrow so it may feel a bit warmer. Trying to hold out till November if I can.
  • I got up at 4am the other morning to find the heating on full blast. Tbf it was a chilly night but I really don't need the house heated at that time of the morning.

I really need to get my head round the new heating system  :#

So much to read, so little time.
  • Presently still turned off. But we’re curled up on the sofa with a husky.
