Is your heating ON or OFF?

Sorry, don't have the data. I worked it all out when it went in, but that paperwork is long gone and irrelevant. The point is to use it as a mix with the oil and logs depending on how cold it is. Cheaper to put UFH on in just the bathrooms rather than run the CH to warm them for a couple of hours am/pm. Bear in mind that electric mats are a different proposition to polypipe running off CH as well. It's fairly straightforward to work out the running costs - lots of the sites that sell the mats can help with that. The important thing is to have a decent controller, and remember that the mats work by heating up what's above and below them. They can be set using either floor temp or room temp.
The kitchen has UFH as there is no radiator (and nowhere to put one). It gets some heat via convection from the DR radiator but not enough in winter.1 -
Thanks. I was looking at mats but may look into the cost of pipes off the CH as gas is cheaper than electricity. We just have the one small downstairs bathroom and it’s quite cold because it’s on an extension that juts out behind the house and has a concrete base rather than suspended flooring, so it gets 5 degrees or so colder than the rest of the house - I guess the benefit of the mat is a separate control like you say for if the rest of the heating doesn’t need to be on. Though as I’ll be wfh for the foreseeable, at least this winter I won’t be getting up at 5am to a freezing cold bathroom before heading out to stand on a freezing railway platform, I can stay tucked up in bed until 10 to 9 😁Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...1

Heating won't go on until October, but windows will gradually get shut. Back door open in kitchen while cooking still. Fans are off. One blanket at the moment with a couple of fleeces available. Time to switch from chinos and shorts to jeans and cords and stick a jumper or hoodie over the t-shirt. Supposedly there's a mini-heatwave on the way.1

Had the Windows open for a few hours this morning but closed them now.
Jeans and cardi on and all 3 cats snuggled up on blankets.
Can feel the autumn change coming but I love it!0 -
I’ve put my Gas CH on this afternoon. I’m back from a week’s holiday in DEVON today and it’s cold in N York’s. I’ve also got my 4 year old granddaughter staying with her dad tonight. I usually keep bedroom rads turned off except my own but I’ve switched theirs on too.0

It's actually really warm here in east London. I had to get my electric fan out today! The heating is most definitely off.0

Same here in the Midlands, they've given it out to be in the 20's all week.0

Resolutely off here. It’s forecast to rain next week so should stay fairly warm.Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...0

GCH went on today, I was holding out for at least October but it's been freezing. First time it's been on since late April/early May.0
