    I have the winter duvet with a thick blanket over the top on our bed but the heating is still off. I cleaned out my tea cupboard and I have had lots cups of tea this morning. I love this time of year. :)

  • Heavier duvet went in this week, and this morning we put the wood burner on.

    we won’t put the central heating on till October earliest,  ‘cas we’re tight 🤣🤣

    No heating on here in East London. We still just have a light duvet too. Both my partner and I have noticed we're drinking more hot drinks, but beyond that we've been preparing for winter (checking the radiators and the windows for any problems, popping blankets on the back of the sofa, and making a couple sausage draft excluders).

  • No heating up here in Central Scotland. trying to push it out as far as I can because once its on its hard to switch it off even when I can lol 
  • Still off and summer duvet still on here. We have a new carpet in the bedroom which is much thicker and now we are boiling!

    Need to start rummaging in the pile at the bottom of the wardrobe for the body warmers. . Find them pretty effective at warding off the chill.  
  • Ours went on yesterday.  We’ve had almost two weeks of rain here in Cambridge and it was beginning to feel damp in the air.  The tipping point was when the towels were still damp from the previous day’s shower!  I like this time of year.  The winter duvet is on the bed and I’m looking forward to a mug of hot Vimto or two over the coming months.
