I hate a hot bedroom. I love the feeling of warmth and snuggleliness (You won't find that in the dictionary :rotfl:) after getting PJ's on in the cold. I don't have the bedroom radiator on and have been know to have a fan on in the winter to cool the room down. My bed is as toasty as toasty can be and I love it that way.

I can't sleep with the windows open. I wake up at the slightest noise.
Our bedroom windows stay firmly closed year round when I'm in bed.0 -
I leave the window vents open especially if I have plants beneath, and open the window for a good 10/15 minutes after I've dressed.Free thinker.:cool:0

Mine is on virtually all day and all night at the moment. I decided it's worth the extra money to be comfortable, it's only for a few weeks.0

Though I love money-saving (it's why I'm here!) I save on some things to spend on other things. I've chosen not to have children, so there will be no-one to leave anything to when I go - which means every penny I save is just an extra penny for me to spend on something else0 -
ive been in hospital for 3 wks and it was lovely to come home tp my beautiful woodburner , that made me feel better instantly.........
Its very cold out tonight and snow is forecasted for tomorrow , if I need the GCH with the woodburner then so be it , it will go on .........
.Im very careful how I use gas and electric and always line dry the washing instead of using the tumble dryer apart from finishing the towels off in TD to keep them soft......So if I need a bit extra power then I shall use it ...Plus I pay by DD and find it easier that way because if you ring your metre readings through to your supplier every so often you never get in debt with your supplier ........
So this time of the year I can keep very warm without the worry of paying for it........Keep warm folks .....My motto is " one life live it ".....:)0 -

I think you may have a point. I am comfortable at much lower temperatures than my wife. The difference is that I spend a lot of my free time outside in the winter whereas she doesn't.
At the other end of the scale, we both like to holiday in very warm places and adapt to temperatures in the 30s/low 40s quite quickly. The secret, we have found, is not to use air conditioning.0 -
Brace yourself for tomorrow's predicted chill and stay warm, folks!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
