Mine has been on for an hour or two morning and evening but today is the first time I have put it on constantly. I feel changes in temperature very keenly and as my total fuel bill is only around £50 a month I don't see the point in trying to keep it lower and feeling miserable whilst doing so. Once warm the house retains heat very well so I don't feel guilty about it.

  • We have a back boiler which is supposed to heat the house but only manages to take the chill out of the place, haven't got it on yet though. I find keeping my jumper and shoes on helps a lot but I have been told myself and the other half have young blood and that will change one day. Hoping to have the fire swept this week though so we can start putting it on, really miss having a fire on in the evening especially when it's dark out!

We have two quilts and a fleece blanket on our bed though, the more the merry I feel. Super snugly!

Well, it's that time of year again. Ours went off on Monday and with any luck it'll be off until November. Happy spring everyone!

Ours is off mostly too although we had it on for a few hours last night as me and my son have been unwell. Yay for cheaper bills.

  • I've cut it down to an hour in the morning and 2 hours in the evening

It's a rare month in an even rarer year that it's switched off totally

However I've not lit the stove for over a week ( still need a blanket in the evenings )

Mine was switched off completely on 26th March. It will be off until needed which is usually not until November.

Ours has been off for a week or two. It gets a little nippy at night and in the early mornings, but I still have the warm winter duvet on the bed.:)

Mine is off and apart from the water coming on for two hours in the morning its all I need .the weather has turned warmer at last, and if it gets nippy or cools down a bit at night I have a throw I can put over me on my chair and a hot water bottle for my feet if they get cold .No need to use the CH now until around the end of September, my combined CH and electricity bills are on £47 per month every month and I know I shall be getting a bit of a rebate in June at the end of the financial year from EDF.Last year I had about £130.00 rebate which came in very handy for my holidays :):):)
