Off here. It's 15 degrees and I'm snuggled under my 60% wool blanket I got for a fiver from Ikea.

I've been in this house from just before Christmas and I've already spent £70 just on gas. I'm struggling. :(

Well £70 isnt too bad by what my calculator says , if youve been in your house 7 weeks thats £10 per week approx......Although it do depends on how long your heating has been on and does that include heating the water...?...But if you cant afford to have your heating on then £70 is a lot of money.....

Its Been a bit warmer here today , had sunshine all day which was very nice , birds are singing like its spring............I havent had the heating on today as ive been outside most of it , but ive now got the fire a light.......Dawg is quite relaxed in front of it.....

4 loads of washing done this morning and a good walk on the tm this afternoon ensured it was warm enough to have the heating off most of the day. On now though as the temp has dropped but was lovely to think we might be getting toward the time it can go off during the day. I hope!

I haven't had my heating on at all this winter, or last. I must be hard core. I have a fantastic log burner which I light maybe once a week when I fancy a cosy night in.
I pay £13 a month gas and electricity.
Seriously though, if I want to freeze, there are better things to do! Mind you, you do not say how much the log burner cost to run!

Heating on, still on, and only £70 a month to do so! Why freeze!

My heating has been on and off this week depending on how cold its been in the evenings.

During the winter it usually comes on at 4pm for 15 minutes and then again an hour later for another 15 minutes and so on every hour until 9pm. I don't have a central thermostat but do have individual thermostats on each radiator so I can have different temperatures in each room.

I turned it off completely Friday evening as it was very mild and I felt too hot. Last night it was heavy rain here and very chilly so I left it on.

Most days have been warm enough that I haven't needed it on at all during the day.
