Mine is on for an hour in the morning and also 4 hours in the evening. Going to try and cut the evening to just 2 hours.

Just been chatting with DH about reducing the time it's on for. Will sort that this week.

Not had the heating on for the last 3 days we have had lovely mild sunny days and the curtains are opened early to take advantage of the sunshine and doors and kept closed to keep the heat in the coldest it has been is 18.3 we have a thermostat and it got up to 21.5 when we were cooking dinner.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

I came in from the garden yesterday evening and the warm air hit me so the heating is off. It was chilly this morning typically:D but it will stay off unless it gets cold again.

I think it is the early evening when it is still cold.

Central heating still on 24/7 for medical reasons here. Also the gas fire is lit each evening. Sigh. Thank goodness we have double glazing, attic insulation and cavity wall insulation. Without those we'd certainly be in a fix!

Just read my gas meter for first time since November after receiving an estimated bill for £355 from Ebico/SSE. Turns out I have used £143 less, but a gas bill of £212 is still out of my comfort zone. :(

Will have to turn the heating OFF more often.

I had the heating on timed for 6 this morning , and when I got up at 7 the bungalow was 20 so I turned it off then , and I did put it on at tea time and as soon as it reached 20 I turned it off again , its been off since 5 pm and the temp still reads 20 , I normally go to bed at 8.30 ish so I doubt it will go back on from now until then......
I havent lit my fire for 3 nights now as it really isnt that cold ...

DH has now set the timer so the heating comes on a little bit later and is not on for quite so long.
He read the meters today and we have used less gas and electricity this quarter compared to the same quarter last year.
Hoping to turn the heating off in the next couple of weeks and just use the gas fire on chilly evenings.
