Ours in on for a little while in the morning and in the evening.
We live in an old, cold house.
We also have a real fire and have been given lots of free wood, so we try and just have that in the evenings.0 -
I have had mine on for a 2 hours on a morning for getting up and a couple at settling down time on an evening.
I do still have it on low this morning as it's freezing and raining out this morning, but I have put my clean laundry on the radiators so that means I'm not having to tumble dry it.Nov GC £0/£2100 -
still very warm here and the evenings and mornings are not cold yet , ive got lots of south facing windows which heat the rooms lovely, and the room im in now we call it a sun room as it as loads a windows and quite big with sofas etc , so its perfect for sitting in , and no need for heat when the sun does it.....
Ive just come out of hospital having had a foot op so im not mobile at all, but should it turn cold I wont hesitate to put the heating on, its what its there for, and I cant be doing with saying no heating on here until a certain date , then get to that date say another months time the heating will go on......I dont see it as a competition to see who can hold out the longest....Im happy warm and dam miserable if im cold.....My motto is " one life live it ".....:)0 -
No heating on, it's 21c in my kitchen, the bm and sc are on and the garden door is open, would be far too warm with it shut as it's a beautiful day. It did come on for an hour first thing, as I've said before I can't cope with a cold bathroom!0

Not on here but I had it on for an hour on Tuesday to dry my washing. It's seems warmer today so it won't go on tonight either

Holding out here - I don't feel the cold too much, and try to last until the clocks go back each year if I can. It's a bit chilly right now, and I'm sorely tempted, but we have a log burner and plenty of free wood, and as my husband has just asked if I want him to light a fire, I think we can hold out for another day.
We have oil-fired c/h nowadays which can be switched on at the flick of a button, after decades of messy, dusty, complicated coal fired heating - that didn't get lit until necessary, because once it was lit, it stayed lit for the duration. I love the ease of the oil-fired, but it does make it verrrry tempting!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
Off, it's warm tonight.

Heating is still off despite the weather turning colder. There is a problem with the pressure and it's leaking water so I need to get it checked.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Firmly off tonight but we have had it on and off throughout the week. I bought a fleece type blanket thing from aldi last week and have just about managed to persuade OH it's OK if he wants to snuggle under that on the sofa instead of clicking the heating on0

Not had the heating on yet. It's pretty mild and I even walked back from town in a t-shirt this afternoon! I hope the warm weather continues as I love being outside.0
