I've got electric central heating which costs a small fortune to run, so I'm trying to keep it off as long as possible.
I'm in laundry drying limbo though, it's getting too cold and wet to hang it out on the line but without the heating on it takes forever to dry in the house. I might start putting the heating on when I've got a big load of washing to dry but just wear an extra jumper if I'm feeling cold otherwise.
  • Temp is reading 23 in my back sun room , and it feels lovely throughout the house , its a beaut of a day , long may this weather continue , it will make winter feel shorter and the fuel bills cheaper ...(was shegar now chickens.)

Thank goodness it is warmer today, no need to even consider putting the heating on. Hope it lasts, November is looking within reach at the moment!

Still off here, but I have put it on timer for the morning A)...to dry some washing, and B) in case i'm freezing after last night shift.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Off, thankfully the weather is still very mild. Baking a crumble in the oven made the kitchen very warm too.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Still off and the weather is good, but no longer so mild. Last night I had a bath and wished I had the heating on for when I came out. As it happens, it was not too bad because I was warm from the bath, but am starting missing my creature comforts. Only a few more days!

  • Still off here in London. i do take a hot water bottle to bed with me lately though.
Our bedrooms have always felt much chillier than the rest of the house and really hard to get warm…we put that polystrene insulating wallpaper on the walls that are outside walls this year though, and the rooms definitely don't have that same cold, damp sort of feeling to them, and the walls are not cold to touch. I'm impressed so far - will see how they do when it gets really cold though.
