  • Still off here but feeling chilly today
  • Still off here but definitely feels cooler than preivous weeks. Closing the curtains and adding a jumper has helped. The temp difference is most notable in the bathroom. I might have to start closing the window! I also need to work out how to set the towel rail timer again.

Have had the heating on all day so far to get rid of wet washing. Going to switch it off now though...just been outside dead-heading , come back into house and it's like an oven..!....lol.

Lovely and warm, but i'll be going out in an hour so it's going off.

When I get back i'll shove a onesie on.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

no radiators yet but have put the gas fire on, opened the windows upstairs today, forgot to close them and the whole house seemed cold.

I cant stand being cold but am waiting for a new heating thermostat to be fitted so am trying to not put the radiators on until this is done

Not on here yet...my thermometer is reading 16 degrees indoors...I'm only just warm enough and needing layers. I think I'll cave in, if it drops to 15 degrees tomorrow.
15 degrees is probably my personal 'cave in' point for heating!..What's yours??!!
  • 16.5 degrees in here tonight and I'm feeling chilly. Feels damp too, though, so I'm turning the dehumidifier on. It's always a degree or so warmer in the morning if I've run the dehumidifier overnight.

Think I'll be taking a hot water bottle with me to bed tonight. I really want to wait with the heating. I've got electricity only: one storage heater in the living room and an electric radiator. Sadly all my windows are north facing.

    Very chilly here tonight.
I live in a basement flat so don't get any sunlight in here to warm it up in the day and it can feel a bit dank sometimes. I've already got a cardigan on and a jumper over the top of that but my feet are like blocks of ice, so I'm sorely tempted to put the heating on for half an hour to take the edge off. Problem is it will take about a quid off the electric meter and it hardly seems worth it when I'll be going to bed soon anyway.
Hot water bottle it is then!

Just put a hot water bottle in my bed as I was cold last night, but the heating isn't on yet. Trying to last out for a while yet, but I won't keep it off to the detriment of my health.

Still off here in sunny Bournemouth. I'm determined to keep it off to the middle of November at least!
