Still off for me as it's not cold enough yet. I have started wearing a thin jumper this week though as it's beginning to get cooler.

Funnily enough I'm looking forward to switching it on (sometime in Nov) as I had a funky Nest 'learning' thermostat installed back in June and haven't used it yet!

Firmly on here. Is the spam issue the reason for all the dodgy looking signatures?

Off at the moment, washing drying outside and doors open. I'll probably put it on for a short while later so the bathroom is warm when I get ready to go out.

What sort of temperatures are your homes at with the heating off with the weather as it is now ?

I've always been pretty good with the heating but we have a 9 month old now and it's her first winter in her own room so i'm worried about the temperature meaning the heating is firmly on at the moment. It's really hard to know if she is warm enough, especially at bed time.

Even in the mild weather we are having the temperature of the house will often be 14-15º if the CH has been off which I think must be too cold for her.

Luckily we are quite a bit in credit with the Gas/Electric and i've made a spreadsheet so I can track the usage. I can enter the units used and calculate how much i have spent since the last bill so i'm keeping an eye on that. But even in this weather it essentially costs me £3-4 a DAY in gas to keep the house warm! (by warm i'm talking 18-19º)

It's been 16 to 17 degrees or so in my lounge this week. Old, uninsulated victorian ground floor flat.

If I recall last year, it started to feel chilly when it got below 15 in there, so a bit to go yet.

No need for the fire on today. It's wet and miserable outside but everyone said it felt warmer than yesterday.

Indoor temperature is 16c at the moment.

I have found it quite mild during the day so I think we will have to look at how we manage the heating to make sure we are not wasting money. Usually I would have the heating off but we have a baby here too now and I refuse to let the temp get too low in the house.

  • Ours is definitely still off, however, the blankets are all out for the colder evenings. Trying to wait as long as possible

Still off here in Oxfordshire, seemed a bit warmer yesterday, we do seem to suffer a mid afternoon slump in temperature, but that may be that I notice it because I have been working at my desk for quite a while by then.
