Heating isn't on, but I did shut the kitchen window this morning.... the last one I had kept open!
It'll have to drop a few more degrees before I put the heating on.Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Still off, but starting feeling cool so there is a chance that we will put the woodstove on before 1st November. It has been so warm in London until now, the cold weather seems to have dropped on us very suddenly.
Still, all other measures and precautions will be put in place before the switch goes on, rugs on legs, quilts on beds, hot water bottles, close windows etc...
Closing the windows has been challenging as we have had the top ones repainted so they had to stay open overnight to avoid sticking. The lower windows might just have to wait for better weather! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Very wet and miserable here in South Yorkshire. Sat doing some work and have the fleecy blanket on my lap, and cardi on. Resisting the urge to turn the CH on. Have a good day everyone!0

It's really feeling quite nippy here, I had to change into a jumper and I have a hot water bottle and blanket. It was nice going into the kitchen with the tumble dryer going.:p I love the feeling of being cosy.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Ours has been on for almost a week now. We had been using the boost option but I have resorted to it being on timed morning and evening again. Possibly even have the log burner lit this evening - although this will mean the heating gets turned down a little! Luckily our heating costs are reasonably low even when it's on a lot.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

I'm working today so mostly in one room, and just have my electric heater on intermittently. Also wearing tights under my trousers, thick socks and slipper boots lol, plus long sleeve thermal under my sweater.
