Just put the oil filled radiator in the living room. It's not cold, but s pouring down and I've just been to the allotment so I'm damp and therefore a bit cold.
CH won't be going on for a while yet, especially as the pilot light s not lit and I don't know how to light it!0 -
Woke up to rain this morning and it feels quite chilly. I am unwell so am feeling it more than normal so I have put the heating on for a while.
I had hoped to get to Nov but my health is far more important to me and I want to be well!
Keep warm everyone0 -
Not yet, but thanks to the front moving through and the clear skies behind it I have made sure the thermo. is set to click on if it's too chilly overnight/into the morning. Potentially 4 degrees as a low into the morning. Not felt that for a while!0

It was wet this morning and a bit cooler today so sox and cardi on, but the sun is shining now and certainly no need for ch. How lucky I am, usually a cold soul, not having to put a cardi on til the 4th October0

Not on yet, nowhere near cold enough. I've been making the most of solar thermal mass via the conservatory. I keep seeing people posting pictures of their woodburners lit. They must have money to burn.0

Still 9 outside at 7pm! Hoping it stays warm for as long as possible to avoid the thermostat having to take action. We have a nice modern house with lots of insulation so I know it'll hold warmth just fine until bedtime
it'll just be 4-6am when we're close to/waking up.
I just wrapped up our tiny one for bed - long vest, full onesie and her warmer tog grobag - nice an snug. Def. feeling more autumnal now I'm watching for the weather.0 -
Welcome back Shegar!!! I remember you
Yea its me ,I went off line for a couple of months and I just couldnt get back on with my old name and password..!!.So I had to start all over again......
Weather forum so back on topic, it was like summer until lunch then we went in to autumn after lunch , the rain came for about an hour and the temps dropped , I dont have the central heating on , but ive got the snuggly warm throws on the sofas, temp is suppose to go down to 4 tonight so I may set the timer so whenI get up in the morning it will be nice and warm when the GCH cuts in then turn it off after an hour.......

Mild but wet day,no heating needed and will not be going on here till it's minus silly temps. We did very well last year keeping it off as much as possible, the times it did go on it was very low .
Lucky for us the house is well insulated ,there was a time when it wasn't and keeping the CH off was very hard .0 -
heating off here - it was on last week - in the bathroom we had a leak from the shower (soaked through the floor boards and into the kitchen) problem sorted - but it took 4 hours of bathroom radiator on to dry under the bath!! but it is not a bad thing to try the heating before it gets really cold!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
