  • Grrrrr, not happy here! I did 2 loads of washing and hung it outside, whilst the worse of the water is off the clothes they have come in damp so I have had to put the fire on to help dry them otherwise the house will get damp.

Still, I suppose the cats and one of my dogs are happy as they are laying in front of it.

It's such a pain getting things dry at this time of the year, and I'm trying to limit that use of my tumble dryer.

I'm still on the strategy of having the heating from about 6 am to 9 am, then from about 3.30pm to 8.30pm

During the day I normally have a cardigan on, but it has been comfortable.

I swore I would never get a onesie but have given in. Best thing ever. They are so cosy. No gaps so you stay warm all over. Just put heating on when I came in. It's set at 20 but never gets up to that.. Big open plan living room with stairs. I have even put radiator foil behind the one on the outside wall.
  • Afternoon,

still not on here, won't be long though cos its turned really cold here.

Dh's dad rung the other night and has offered us a log burner, we jumped at the chance, just got to find the time now for dh to drive the 180miles to go fetch it, then we'll start looking into prices of having it installed, then start saving the pennies.

If you have to buy coal and logs for your new stove then you will find it quite expensive to run, they are only cheap if the wood is free , woodburners eat wood like its going out of fashion............

Just lit my fire , its lovely and cosy, just had shower and got me thin onesie on...:D....
