Well, I've got mine on for the first time since about March/April. I had a shock this morning when I was involved in a car accident (I'm fine, just shaken, but car is probably written off), and when I finally got home I was shaking and shivering. Shock, for sure, but a nice warm living room is making me feel better.
What a horrible day!Because it's fun to have money!

I thought it went dark around 5ish, think I read you're from the Leyland/Preston-ish area tooWeather's flipping wild atm, no bonfires round here tonight I think...
My bungalow normally keeps it self at a round 19 degrees this time of a year with no heating , and loads of south facing large windows..........
But ive been to the drs yeaterday and I have bronchitis so im not going to get cold whatever it costs me , my health is far more important than risking getting worse than I am now for the sake of whatever it costs................So im topping up the heat to 21 degrees when needed ...............
19 degrees with no heating is enviable! My bungalow musn't be as well insulated... it's been about 12/13 today. Though we do have a big window that makes a big difference to the temp (when the sun is shining, just could do with that happening a bit more often...) But quite right your health is the most important thing, hope you're staying warm.flubberyzing wrote: »Well, I've got mine on for the first time since about March/April. Sorry to hear you're been shook up today, my OH has been in several accidents and it really is rubbish. Have a cosy evening and hope everything gets sorted out smoothly. x0 -

So sorry to hear about your accident, be sure to act on any symptoms you may have in the coming days. Sometimes it isn't clear that you have had an injury until a day or two after.0 -

It's dusk-ish around 5, but not really dark until a bit later.think I read you're from the Leyland/Preston-ish area too
No, I visited the Preston area (Clayton-le-Woods to be exact) the other day, to pick up a car, but I actually live quite a way East of that, in Bury MBC.
BTW. It's howling a gale here right now, but my living room is still at 61.2f, so the heating is off.0 -
flubberyzing- sorry to hear about your accident, but glad to hear that you are OK.
My heating is off. I dont need it on at all during the evenings, it's just the mornings, they are so cold! Going to see if i can keep it off tomorrow morning though.0 -
My living room is now at 14.1c It was 12.8 but now i have 5 tea lights on, a fleece blanket and my hot water bottle and im quite toasty.
We talked about putting the heating on this morning (eg-how long will we leave it) but then we went out and OH hasnt mentioned it since we got back so im keeping schtum!Simplify and then Simplify some more!0 -
On for an hour this evening as we have our baby grandson staying tonight and there is a slight chill in the air. It's given my DH a chance to check all the radiators are working. My secret fantasy is having 2 men....
