I gave in at 4pm today and put the CH on. Temp has dropped to 14.8C in the house. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0

My heating is still off, we moved to a ground floor of a house converted into flats and for whatever reason it retains the heat insanely well.0

We're a hardy breed up here, unlike those softy Southerners.
Whilst its good to save on heating , and im all for it , its not a competition to see whose house gets the coldest before putting the heating.........
Did put the heating on for a hour at tea time , got the temp at 21 degrees , so that will do nicely whilst sitting down, plus ive got a thick fleece onesie on . feeling so cosy ...........0 -
Was going to put the heating on..but then the oven timer went of and dinner was ready. So i just turned the oven off and left the oven door open..it heated up my kitchen and lounge nicely!
So, still off here, but have been feeling it today!0 -

My heating is still off - thankfully I have two warm furballs who can keep me warm and snug. Nothing like a cuddly pet__________________________

i put the gas fire on at about 4pm as I was freezing, it is a high efficiency fire so doesnt cost much to run
I put the heating on for half an hour to take the chill off the rest of the house
Temperature seemed to drop all of a sudden, I had the window open upstairs and down earlier today to air the house. i find if the house is aired it heats up quicker and seems to retain the heat for longer
Think will put hte electric blanket on for half an hour tonight as well, I feel the cold quite badly and if I am not warm I find it really hard to get warm and get off the sleep0 -
Despite it being 30f (-1c) outside, my living room is still a respectable 58.6f (14.5c) right now.0

How do people know what temp their rooms are? We are on Economy 7 so I don't know what temp we have in here.
Our heaters are still off but it is decidedly nippy here today so the garden door is closed! It's still sunny and the cats are outside so it can't be that cold yet.;)HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000
