I have a later issue 7 account, but if it is any help interest has just been added to my account

I too am taking my money out of A+L (and will be moving away from CAHOOT as my current account) due to the same concerns as many on this board, too many outages with their IT systems, wrong advise etc leaving me with a lack of trust in Santander.

Another very unhappy A&L customer. Have not got the interest on my account and neither has my partner on his. Mum has got an issue 6 and there's no interest on that either. Rang A&L and told could be another week, then when I got cross she came back and said it would be midnight on Monday.
Completely p**ssed off with Santander also had trouble switching current account to the Halifax. 3 ignored contacts from the Halifax and 1 ignored secure message from me re direct debit details for transfer ended in me having to ring the complaints line to get the details and then take that into local Halifax branch for faxing to their transfer team. Had enough now, will be voting with my "feet".:(

Ok, I have received mine today. Not very nice, when T&C says the interest should be paid on October 1st!

Cheers for the update guys. Interest is now added for me too.

Im sure the people on here that have been ringing up and complaining might have 'prompted' them to get things moving along a bit quicker so a big thanks to all of ye.

Hi everyone

Glad to say interest now showing as having been been credited.

When I checked first thing, no show. Rang A&L bright and early (07.30 hrs :eek:), couldn't believe had to queue due to high volume of calls etc etc . Anyhow I was advised that due to 'backlog' of work etc if the a/c was not updated by 0900 hrs then it would be next wk some time. I tried not to vent my anger at the guy on the phone and state it was simply not good enough to treat their customers in this way since Santander took over, pointing out never had such problems with A&L in the past. Also canx two old savings a/cs at the same time which now show with a couple of pence interest in!!! Presume this will just be transferred to our Premier Direct current a/c.

On checking the amount of interest paid, it is a fair bit short of what was expected. Could be my Excel spreadsheet was not right ?? Anyone else experienced this ??
