A&L Online Saver Issue 5

Has anyone received their interest on the above account? It's supposed to be added on 1 October. No sign of it on my account as yet. In the past, any interest due to be paid on various savings accs with A&L (now Santander) have always been credited and shown online on the day. Perhaps things have changed now they're Santander

Same boat here - I tried looking on their website, but all it says is interest is paid yearly. Guess I'll have to give them a call

    Hi people,

Same here also for myself and fathers account.

It should be paid Oct 1st definatly, all old A&L yearly paid accounts where paid on this date always. Ive had accounts prior to Santander with them 10yrs.

Hopefully this gets resolved, I have a feeling this is going to turn into one of those Satander take over f**k ups I keep hearing about..

Im going to leave it today and ring tommorrow if still not there, let me know if anyone hears anything

    Cheers

At risk of being accused of being an apologist for Santander, it may be worth pointing out that 1st October does last for another 11 hours 15 minutes...:rotfl:

    Traitor ;)

Yes you are correct. Might be sharpening the daggers a bit too soon. Which is why i thought id wait a day till i ring up.

The problem is like maggie mentioned A&L always paid right away.

And well, we NEED the money right away how else are we going to spend it and save the economy for Charles Bean at the BoE?

Of course, we are all aware that 1/10 is up until midnight but having been a long standing A&L customer, in the past interest earned has ALWAYS been credited overnight to savings accounts and can be seen on the day.

Will have to wait and see if it's added at the end of business tonight !!

I gave them a call (had a few other things to sort out). They said it will be credited some time today.
  • Just a matter of waiting then :)
  • Still haven't received interest.
