Hello!
A busy week, work was mental, then DH and I went to watch Blackpool V Liverpool on Wed. DH is a Liverpool fan - despite being a Londoner - he was a child of the 70's when they were THE team, so he had a heavy heartBut was still happy to see his hero King Kenny
He is 40 today and is happy with the low key celebrations we have planned. I cancelled the weekend away and we're just having a birthday tea with the kids and some friends are calling for a drink - so the bubbles are on ice!!!
We've had our new boiler that's not a boiler fitted today £400 instead of £1200 so :money: and so far it seems like a massive improvement. It is not new, but has a year's warranty - which is all new ones have. I was abit dubious, but DH knows the plumber and understands the job and said "We've always bought secondhand cars, so what's the difference?" We'll see, but I guess £700 is £700.....
Right, best be off to blow up balloonsTomorrow will be the usual gubbins and then out for an Italian with the family, so should be nice
Hope anyone reading has a good weekend x0 -
Wished you let me know you were coming here ..we could have met as I'm only across the road from there...lol

Hello all! Have had a fab weekend thanks - and it's not over yet!
DH loved his picture, so result there :T I was a bit disappointed when it arrived, as it wasn't as big as I thought, but he said it was very thoughtful and loved it. He's such a sentimental old softie. We had our friends round on Friday and drank and ate copious amounts, so we were feeling a little delicate yesterdayBut it was great, we had such a laugh and really it was exactly what he wanted. He said he was happy. He's married his best friend, got 2 healthy kids and a house that makes us all happy and that's all he needed. Ahh :A
We went out for tea last night with the kids and had a nice relaxed evening, so all good.
To be honest, he looks YOUNGER if anything (annoyingly considering I'm trying so damned hard to hold back the years) and it does feel like the happiest/most content either of us have been in years
At times like this I wait for something bad to happen - but this time I don't think it will. The last decade has been tough for one reason or another, so it's nice to just *be* and let the good times roll! :j

Thanks DT! :kisses3: Yes, we are all very lucky and I count my blessings every day0

Whooohoooo!!! Back from the dreaded run :j Think I did around 7 miles, but my Garmin added together this run and the last, so I can't really work it out. I need to read the handbook and download the software to use it to it's full potential.
I usually run on an empty stomach so it was a bit uncomfortable today. My leek and potato soup kept repeating on me which wasn't very pleasant
Anyway, bumped into my neighbour on the way back and she said she used to run every day but stopped and wants to get back into it! Hurrah - a running partner right on my doorstep!:T
Off to have a peppermint tea in the bath- how decadent - and dream of how it will look once I've revamped it!0
