I hope this week is good to you, mac - take care xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Good morning, now I've slept on it, everything seems clearer.
I'm going to ring the shops this morning and see if it's there. I'll give it a couple more days, then let work know. At the end of the day, it's not life or death and it will be insured.
I'll play it by ear with regards to the party....
Today I have 2 weeks left at work before Christmas and a whole heap of work to do in the meantime. Plus I STILL haven't written a single card, so must must MUST start that tonight.
Have a good day:xmastree:

No cards written here either - was hoping to put in the "we are moving" details at the same time.....
So, another last minute job for me, then!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Me too on the cards ... I've typed out the Christmas letter that explains why I didn't send any cards last year, and that I've moved house, but not even printed that yet. I *did* manage to brave the coalshed and find my box of Christmas stuff tho, so that was *something*
I hope those phone calls turn the phone up.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm doing my cards sat in the hotel tonight. I've got all the printed inserts, and my labels for the envelopes, so 'technically' only have to squiggle my name on them. But at least I don't have to put any explanations of house moves etc. in.
Hope you come to a decision you are happy with.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Why am I always so much more tired on a Monday evening??
Still, I have made a big "To Do" list and aim to getting ironing done, cards written (at least the ones going to Ireland, US and Australia) I know I'm too late but there we are...
I have to wrap my Secret Santa present for tomorrow and whilst I'm at it, will wrap the pressies for my team at work.
I'm also going to start sorting the house for Christmas so I don't have to get stressed and cram it into one day. Tonight I'll be doing the 27 Fling Boogie a la Flylady. There are plenty of ""Hotspots" ie: piles of papers and "stuff" so if I can put out a few fires tonight, that'll be a start.
First job is bath the kids - back later x0 -
I really like the idea of getting everything printed .... might take that on next year
macgirl, cards should get to Ireland still, shouldn't they? I've missed the Australian and Zimbabwean dates, as usual. Thank God for facebook for the Australian lot - tho actually, my SIL in Zimbabwe recently confirmed Friend with me on fb, so they've got it too :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm going to try those cards companies with the annoyingly catchy jingles (the pig and pigeon ones).
A friend rang and I've only just got off the phone, so did virtually nothing on the list:o:o I *did* get out all the presents that I bought in the Summer sales though :T:money:
That is one MSE habit that has stuck.
Right off to bed, will do the cards tomorrow, though I know it wouldn't be the end of the World if I didn't write them would it?0 -
no - not the end of the world! Certainly not worth stressing over xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Agreed! Not the end of the world; not even a big storm! Take care, and do what you can, then leave the rest - life is too, too short for anything else. Though I wish I could take that advice as easily as it can be written.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
