Evening all and thanks for all the advice :A
Well my friend (and colleague) we were with today, said don't mention it yet, have more time to look for it. But Gill you're right - although I do have to enter a passcode - I do get emails containing financial info. It's not at work as I had it on Friday, but the battery was flat and I did have it in my coat pocket. Then I collected the kids from school, went to a shoe shop which was having a closing down sale and got 2 pairs of the next size school shoes for the price of one! :money:
I digress, but I was so busy, thinking about both uncles, getting ready for my Christmas do and carrying all the kid's school things, that I could have easily dropped it (I lost my other mobile when we moved here didn't I
:wall:). I feel quite sick about it and angry with myself for being so careless.
Yes, KC they are on different sides of the family. My party Uncle is great, I love him and would hate to miss it as he made such an effort to come to my Mum's surprise party in all the snow last year. That side of the family are great fun and I know I'll have a fab time
Plus my parents will be away, so I'm kind of representing them.
Decisions, decisions.... really need to find this blinking phone and then decide whether to report it or not. Don't know why I can't seem to make one at the moment...0 -
Sorry to hear about your Uncle - I'm off to my Aunt's funeral tomorrow.

Hope your decision regarding the funeral and party isn't too difficult - it's a difficult situation though so can understand your hesitation over what to do.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. It sounds like the worry over the phone is distracting you from the decision about Friday ... this is going to sound dumb ... but when you look for stuff, you do it thoroughly, don't you, take everything out not just look through, things like that? Phones are little these days, they can slip between papers and get lost.... sorry for sounding ... well, oh god, sorry for sounding like my mother.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: No, I appreciate that - thanks!
DH looked in my car with a torch last night and I've just said I'll look there again, but he thinks I'm wasting my time. I am not giving up, but do keep looking in the same places and think I need to think outside the box. I stopped looking thinking it'll just turn up.
I was getting ready in the bedroom and had stuff *everywhere* so thought it might turn up when that was cleared - but no.
You've spurred me on. I feel it MUST be in this house, so will get to it again - thanks!

I've had to admit defeat on the phone
I'll ring the shops I was in on Friday and if they don't have it, I'll have to let work know.
Don't know why I've got it in the first place really - I don't need one (DH says it's for the GPS so they always know where I am :cool:)
With regards the party vs funeral (sorry for how that sounds) I think the reason I'm uneasy is that there's a bit of family "weirdness" going on - can't go into it here, and although it's nothing to do with me, it's making me uneasy about going to the party. Especially as I'm going alone.....*sigh* I wish things could be simpler. Plus Friday is my last day before Christmas to clean the house before the inlaws come as I feel things are out of control - losing the phone has compounded that.
Right, I'm probably not making sense, so am off to iron and sort me head out0 -
That makes sense if there's background stuff, which of course you don't want to talk about on here. The Christmas deadline is really looming now - like you said, its crept up, and suddenly its round the dratted corner :eek: ringing the shop would be good - I really hope it turns up, macgirl.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

have you phoned the police to see if it's been handed in.0
