I have expensive taste, I just don't follow up on it - fortunately, I also have cheapie taste - although thinking of how I looked in some photographs of this summer, its *not* very fortunate!

EDIT - just seen what gill wrote - totally agree, I hate clothes shopping!

Oooh, I *love* clothes shopping - it's one of my favourite pastimes :D

KC- perhaps you should take a little trip up to see souk in the New Year!

Right off to do the ironing - have a good day all x

clothes shopping is my new favourite hobby too - best experienced with lovely friends or DD and a spot of lunch.

It now has a budget "pot" of its very own.......

Well I've read the papers, had breakfast, listened to DH air his woes about his business and life in general. He is an artist in his soul and the cut throat capitalist World doesn't sit easily with him. Plus, I'm still in my pj's :o

I read something interesting by a female historian, she was saying she's always liked to make things more difficult for herself, rather than taking the easy path. That way she appreciates things more. I can so identify with that, I think that's why rather than the "Tada" list we were talking about on Gill's thread, I like to set myself a target.

Anyway, enough with the procrasinating - I'm going to get dressed and do the blessed ironing!!!

Oh God, just tried on my party dress and asked DH for his opinion. After what seemed like 10 minutes while he carefully weighed up how his answer would be received, he said I look nice in it, but it was a "bit Naughty Halloween" :o:o:o

I don't want to attract unwanted attention, so it's going back.

Oh god!!!! Naughty is great ... but naughty Halloween? That sounds like Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix :( what a shame! Best to know, I suppose.

  • I would love to know what naughty halloween looks like pity it is no longer online

I now officially love shopping too but you definitely need to take someone with you preferably another woman and I would definitely recommend Souk I do take OH with me and he tries but someone who knows what they are talking about is worth their weight in gold

Well, it does look nice I have to say, I'm just usually a bit more conservative when it comes to flaunting the flesh - I hate people speaking to my boobs  Dh came back from the tip and said he thought I looked great and he's a bloke so what does he know, and that if I feel comfortable I should wear it - so I'll see....

I always shop alone though DT, I think with a degree in Fashion I am fully qualified - it's definitely my specialist subject! :D:D:D Glad you've have such a productive weekend!

Well, got through the housework, kid's party and roast dinner ok, but the ironing is still there winking at me - yuk. The girls are busy writing their Christmas card while watching Fred Claus, so it does feel quite :xmastree:
I pulled out the decorations and cards and the box is very damp at the bottom. There are 4 rooms in the cellar and some areas of the floor are quite damp. I'm not worried about it, as it's such an old house and the floor is just stone flags, but it might need looking at in the future.

    Hope everyone's having a nice Sunday :)

Grrrr - I'm trying to book a flight to Dublin for this surprise party. I'll be going alone, as DH is too busy with work.
So I've found the perfect flights with Ryanair and have tried all day to buy it, but the website is not playing ball.

I get to the part where I input my CC details and personal details and click "Purchase" when a box pops up saying "Issue numbers can contain Digits only"

There ISN'T a box for the issue number and besides I'm paying by Mastercard  Why is everything so complicated??? :wall:
