Morning Gill, yes she's tucking into her Advent calender now so I think she's on the mend!
According to the weather forecast last night, it's due to snow all day here, but it looks like it's rained over night as the snow is starting to melt. I'd quite like it to stick around until after Christmas - I quite enjoy it :xmastree:
Today we are going to ballet, then later we're dropping both girls at a friend's house for her daughter's party. DH and I said we might nip to Toys R Us and get the last few bits and pieces.
The tester areas look abit green today, so I'll see how the light changes today and maybe get another couple of colours. I'd rather it be right - even if I'll probably take the paper off in the Spring - is it really worth wasting money on paint for 6 months? Probably not - we'll have to see.
Christmas is really creeping up on me and I don't feel at all organisedSo tonight I am going to try and do what I didn't yesterday and sort the rest of my presents.
Have a good day to those reading0 -
I want the snow to stick around too ours is virtually gone not that we had more than an inch to start with and last night it rained and no ice on the car at 5.30 this morning but it was very slippy with the rain on top of the ice.
Glad the little one is better and I am sure by the end of the day you will feel more prepared for Christmas.

We did have about a foot of it here DT. It was very pretty - on every branch of every tree, but it must have warmed up a bit as it's definitely melting....:(0

Brrrr, it was FREEZING at ballet. My toes are still numb
DH has nipped out for cheese and we're all having cheese on toast comfort foodWe've decided not to decorate before Christmas. Painting over the paper brings out the floraly pattern and as we really don't like it, it seems so wasteful to spend £50+ on paint for a dew months.
Once the tree is up that will be the main focus of the room, so it's pointless to put myself under undue stress for no good reasonPhew, glad I made a sensible decision for once! I normally try to kill myself with unrealistic deadlines.
So, second load has gone in the dryer and I'll attempt to start the ironing later. It was less daunting last week cos I started before Sunday evening.
Then we'll drop the girls off and pop to the shops for an hour or so. Until then, it's the fire and cheese on toast0 -
Hello!
Had a successful shopping trip. Bought my Dad a jumper in Gap with 30% off and myself a long cuddly cardy with 30% off :money: We looked in Toys R Us but didn't buy, as we think we've bought them enough. DH just wants to get the girls a snooker table, as they are always playing on it at the After School Club. I've just reserved one in Argos for DH to collect tomorrow.
Then I've got a couple of vouchers to pick up and I'm done :j Just got the Pots of Gold to make for teachers presents.
I feel like I've forgotten something really major.......hope not0 -
You sound like you've done brilliantly! And I love the picture of you lot snuggled up with cheese on toast - I'm going to have to find a gluten/cow's milk free substitute.
Feeling very nostalgic about the ballet classes - I was dragged to ballet at the age of two, because of flat feet, and with a bit of time off for being a grumpy teenager I stayed till I was 18 .... loved it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

You sound very organised. I've just looked in my cupboard and realised I need to do the pots of gold, before someone eats all the sweets.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
