If she's really thirsty could she suck on ice maybe?0
-
Hi KM, tried that - my Mum suggested it but she only wants to gulp water  I feel like "mean mommy"
She's just asked DH if she can have some peaches - of all the things. She's crying because she's just hungry but feels like she's letting us down. As if!
Anyway, I've just booked my supermarket Christmas delivery :j I'm working Christmas week, so am delighted that one big horrible job is out of the way.0 -
Glad you managed to book your christmas shop - have you done like me and just put a few things in your basket with the intention of going back later and doing a 'proper' shop - We better remind each other to go back and finish the shop! - I did however remember to put Baileys in my basket
Has your fabric arrived yet? Are you still getting itchy feet to decorate your lounge?
I have a decorator booked for 13th December to paper a wall in our study, but I need to do everything else before then (filling and sanding, ceiling, paint walls, all woodwork etc.) - Haven't even bought the paint yet :eek:Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
Nope, did the full shop with the intention of knocking things off the list before I have to commit
The fabric is still at work - thanks for reminding me! If the kids are in school this friday, I'll dust off my sewing machines and take down the curtains. I doubt we'll decorate pre-chrimbo now, maybe above the picture rail but I might just wait. I was feeling ropey all week last week, so it's kind of lost momentum and I've realised it's not so important
Right, off to bed and brace myself for a restless night x0 -
Poor DD, she must be exhausted
you too
I hope whatever it is breaks in the night.
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Just a quick tip that my mum told me about coke when you've just bought it but need it flat due to illness/upset stomach - stir a spoonful of sugar into the glass. Teeth rotting but it kills the fizz quickly and keeps your energy up when ill. I had never heard of this until she told me!
Hope DD is feeling better soon, throwing up constantly is the worst.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,546, Car loan CC 0% BT £5200. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Thanks Sashy, wish I'd known that, instead of using DH's method of shaking the bottle then opening the top to release the gas
Well, despite even more snow overnight, the school is open today - cue whining from little DD!
DD1 has not eaten anything and although she wasn't sick overnight, I think she should stay off again today until she's eating properly. DH is working at home today, so I'm going to go to work for a while at least and see how things go.
Have a good day all and stay safe out there0 -
Absolutely - being sick like that for so long, she's probably dehydrated, and needs to eat when she can as well. Good thing the school's making the effort to stay open tho. Hope your day goes well, macgirl.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
