think you are taking the right approach with DD as someone else said you know her best.
You will be very proud of her when she grows upinto a strong independant woman...she'll just be trying until she leaves home.0 -
Hello
Had a productive day, trying to catch up after being without a computer at work last week and the extended lunch yesterday.
I've had loads on, so had an early start and got caught by my boss putting my make-up on in the carpark
Then planned to go for a run when I got home, but ended up working late, so got home at 7pm. By then it was pitch black and I hadn't seen the girls, so left it.
Brought lunch to work, but really didn't fancy it, so bought some instead totalling £2.50. I still have enough left until Monday and the accounts look ok, so phew!
I have work to do this evening, but would love to just slink off to bed.....
Hope everyone has had a good day0 -
Don't work too hard, enjoy your time at home with the girls. Well done on being able to see it through to payday.

Hello, I feel rotten this evening as I've got a cold/flu thing coming on. It started this afternoon and by the time I got home, I was ready for bed. Despite having lost a few pounds this week, the diet has gone out of the window today. Feed a cold and all that.....
Luckily it's the end of the week for me and the girls broke up from school today, so we can have a lie-in tomorrow.
Well, a week that started badly, has turned out to be pretty special indeed. Little DD has stopped being sick at school :j We are delighted and so relieved - she seems to be too.
Thank God, I feel like a crisis has been averted.
Also, I found out that I'm to receive a windfall. This has come totally out of the blue and honestly feels like all my birthdays and Christmases have come at once. It will be enough to pay off all my debts - I honestly can't believe it and am still in shockBut I am *ecstatic* as I thought this day would never come.
I put my faith in the Universe and I guess it took notice....:)0 -

I know, I'm still in shock.....
(it's not the £112 million lotto win BTW - I would be spreading the love on DFW'ers if it were that much)

I am sniveling like mad. The girls had to go to my Mum's this morning, as I went back to bed with a lemsip. Then there was a knock at the door which woke me up and I felt much better :j
So I whizzed around the house, got dressed and thought about doing some vacumning, then felt dreadful again
Atchoo!! Catch up later xx0 -

I've just caught up - amazing, macgirl, I'm really pleased for you ! Sorry you're so ill tho, you sound in a bad way. Take care - the adrenalin from the windfall is *not* going to necessarily beat the flu, unless you look after yourself.
Sending lots of positive vibes.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
