October Ebay Challenge

I've had a look, but couldn't find a challenge for October so here it is.

I made just over £70 last month, which I was really pleased with. I have just bought a new car and it is current sat on a 0% credit card until next August so have just over £6,500 to pay off as soon as possible. Ebay is going to be the main way of making extra money, although I'm using Quidco, Ciao, Mutualpoints ets as well.

I have just relisted the unsold items from last month and will behaving a hunt around for the next lot of things I can find to list in the coming weeks.

I'd be intererested in doing this. Can I ask, could someone explain how e-bay fees work? Do you still pay if the item is unsold?

    Thanks
  • If the item is unsold then you still pay the insertion fees, gallery fees etc. The only charge you won't pay will be the final value fee which only applies if the item sells.

Hopefully this link will take you to the fees page

    Good luck!

I will join in again this month I think :) No idea what I'll list (apart from a mobile on behalf of a colleague who gets flustered at the thought of trying to do anything like E-bay 20% for me!!! should fetch £140 so about £28 for me) but I'll start snooping round my office this week I think...
Surely there must be something about the house I can sell... ;) Do boyfriends fetch much at the moment?

  • Can I ask, what kind of stuff do you sell?

I find apart from electronics/computing/software, and designer clothes, nothing else sells well or at all. You just end up with items unsold which you have to pay for. This however excludes most of the stuff I own and would like to get rid of, but old books and clothes and bits and bobs don't seem to go down too well!

    Any ideas?

I sell everything. Books, vouchers I don't need, computer software, beauty products, I buy things to sell, I love making money WAY more than spending it.

Last month I made £200, this month I'm on £10 but with loads of stuff listed.

I'm saving for my first car so every penny is a blessing!
