Flourgirl - lol I know about the romance and all that ...but 2 new tyres would be just as exciting for me, I am a petrolhead!! .... infact given half the chance I would fit them myself, I am after all qualified LOL He even bought me a food processor on saturday so I could make my pastry lol ... any recipes for them would be muchly appreciated!! I can only hope that OH and I will last 40 years!!! I might kill him before them LOL As for prices of stash ... well as OH buys me quite a lot of it then he pretty much has a rough idea how much everything costs ... plus I am one of these that if I try and hide something, then I feel ever so guilty and always confess ... would be no good having an affair :rotfl:
Melissa - Very nice craving, and satisfying somewhat aswell I guess? I love the name you have chosen, Tilly sounds so beautiful!!! ... Is this a definate name so I can make up a card LOL ...
Choccy - Thanks for adding my card to the link hunxxx
Mary - Sending big hugs to you, sorry it wasn't better news for you, the way I am today I think I might be joining you with the stick/frame again!can't believe how upbeat you stay xxx
Tomsmum - Could you not be asked to be put down as next of kin?? Least you wouldn't be kept in the dark so much then? hope things improve
Rainmac - The stamps are fab :j :j what a fabulous friend you are ... not forgot about your stash, its ready to go, but Pain is a big factor, had to get SIL to pick up DS and have bribed her with payment to take them to school in the morning (maybe just Tom as DD is still awake) I know what you mean about first class ... I sent a card to Marg and it too 4 or 5 days
they arrived which is the main thing! Bet your Trim looks lovely!! ... I need one desperately, nearly 18 months since mine was last done
... Both me and DD are in need! ... maybe one day!
Right thats me done for the night ... DD is still awake, she has a horrible tickly cough which has resulted in lots of screaming and crying and demands to speak to Daddy on the phone ... he didn't answer so she cried and screamed in a voicemail to him :rotfl: ... he soon called back! I am expecting a long night with her as she is on Daddys bed (Daddys side!!) so guess I have company tonight, may have to keep her off school tomorrow as she ios shatteredRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Thanks for all the hugs and stuff, and even though I haven't read the last few pages properly I will go back and do so when I feel more "together".
I've spent about the last 2 hours writing my latest little literary masterpiece in cyberspace although there is little to show for it. The Barbara Gray artwork is also there.
Insomnia - great sign of not being at one with the world (for me anyways)0 -
Morning all
Haven't read much of the thread as I've been really busy over the last few days - still had time to make some cards though
Mr F was watching the footie last night so I sat and made cards while he watched it. I managed to get five done before I too got enthralled with the match :rotfl::rotfl: They're in the usual place if anyone wants a look!0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone is ok. Having a bad day again ... had to rely on little SIL to take kids to school as I can't walk without holding on to something. Just waiting for a call back from the doctor, but I am pretty sure I am on every tablet I can be on so may result in having to go back to hospital again! Grr.
Hope everyone has a good day ... doubt I can craft today which is frustrating but I can't sit at the table for long!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Thanks, I think I know what is coming, but don't want it to happen, not yet, not until I am a lot worse than I am which sounds stupid ... but then I am sick of the pain!! .... will let you all know anyway!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Sorry, snipped you Rusty.
I "think" either mom or brother has to put me down. Thinking about it, on the other end of the phone they have no idea who I am and I could be anyone pretending to be her daughter. This is why I want to know if she is still confused, if she's not then I can speak to her and ask her to put me down as next of kin. If she is confused I need my brother to put me down but he still hasn't rung me.
He told me last Friday "I'm not leading from the front this time, I wont be asking them any questions, they can tell me if there's something I should know". I asked if he was visiting over the weekend and his answer was "NO!", he obviously had better things to do like be with his wife and maybe see his kids/grandkids. Unbelievably the hospital is about 20 minutes from where he lives yet he can't find an hour to visit her just once over the weekend!
I'll ring the hospital today and ask if she's still there.
Dry and very cold here today. Got some towels in the washer, another hour to go so might get them out. DH has to go and collect his new specs and I'm going with him to get my new ones altered, they're a bit c0ck-eyed, I have odd ears :rotfl: .
Have a good day everyone.0 -
My daughter (she's 12) is saving money for a trip to africa so she's selling cards but its really hard to find nice matierals that aren't really expensive, any suggestions ?0

Back again!
Just spoke to the hospital, she's on another ward now. Very helpful Ward Clerk told me that they wont tell you anything "over the phone" due to confidentiality. They are not supposed to even tell my brother anything over the phone. So it's not because I'm not down as next of kin!
Anyway, she kindly gave me some info. She had her OT assessment and is medically ready for discharge but now has to have a social assessment to see if she can still live on her own with some help.
At least I know she is still in hospital and will be there for a few days yet.0
