Morning everyone! I'm chuffed today - I had a little crafty win - a new set of cosmo cricket's social life papers!!! That's 2 things I've won now! Just got off the phone to argos - DS got a new bike last weekend but was meant to receive a free accessory pack with it helmet, lights etc but of course when we unpacked everything it was nowhere to be seen. They're delivering a new bike on Monday - I've got to get the delivery guy to wait while we open the box, take the bits out and then tell him to take the new bike back! Seems like a right faff - I don't understand why they just can't send the bits out on their own!
My new prima "celebrate" pad arrived today - the papers are lovely although I'm not sure I'll be able to use them all. There's a lot of valentines papers in there, plus some easter themed ones and a couple of religious ones with "he is risen" written on them - just thought I'd let you all know in case someone else was thinking of getting them.

Dallam20 - you are clever then to have made the background yourself out of circles - it looked really good!

TomsMom - glad you like the name too! Can't believe the hospital are being so snotty with you, surely it would make more sense to have a few people down as next of kin. Hope she's okay anyway and that you get to speak to her soon.

Soma - thanks for the tip abut the pritt stick - I'll give it a go - all my blocks have got DST stuck all over them now - it looks terrible!

Craftygranny - I always think its so much harder when you don't know what sex the baby is because you've got to choose 2 names! My s-i-l is due next month and has decided not to find out what it is (its her first child), but she refuses to tell anyone what names they've come up with!

Rusty - hope DD is feeling better today! Matilda is a definate - unless a little boy pops out - that would be awkward - everything I've got is pink!!!!! Hope you feel better soon, must be so hard for you being in so much pain.

Misskaty - what sort of supplies was your daughter after??? I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to advising on cheap craft items - I spend a fortune on supplies!!!

Artydoll - your flowers look fantastic on your d-i-l's pressie!

Georgiegirl2012 - great cards - love the colour scheme on the bike one, and the artwork you won is lovely!

Flying_fresian - really pretty cards - love the girl and cupcake images - can't believe you managed to make 5 cards in one night - I normally average one card every 5 days!

    Back again!

Just spoke to the hospital, she's on another ward now. Very helpful Ward Clerk told me that they wont tell you anything "over the phone" due to confidentiality. They are not supposed to even tell my brother anything over the phone. So it's not because I'm not down as next of kin!

Anyway, she kindly gave me some info. She had her OT assessment and is medically ready for discharge but now has to have a social assessment to see if she can still live on her own with some help.

At least I know she is still in hospital and will be there for a few days yet.

That is sounding so much more promising, hope the assessment goes well and she is dishcharged safely!! xxx

Well done on your win, I seem to enter loads of challenges and never win anything! Grr ... it always seems to be the same people who win over and over ... maybe I should just stop entering challenges lol thats not why I make cards I make it for fun!
I am another one who thinks it would be so much easier for them to send the accesory pack out than a whole new bike! what a waste of time! I had looked at the papers, but still haven't ventured into Prima papers yet! not sure I will buy that one now although I would use the easter ones!

Hope its not a boy that pops out :rotfl: ... I think hospitals are pretty good at telling now, although there are the occasional mistakes but I am sure it will all be fine! hope your next few weeks go quickly for you, although to me it seems to have flown by this time! As for the pain, I think I can manage so well with it because I know I have to, there is no one else here all week to feed them, clothe them or take them to school and I refuse to be beaten :( It is very hard and painful though! I just want a normal pain free life :(

MissKaty - If you had posted just over a week ago I could have sent you some stuff, but I have taken loads of papers (some of them expensive ones) into my daughters nursery for the children to have.
Cheaper brands are the likes of papermania and dovecraft. I am loving this set at the minute which is very reasonably priced. Also on the same website they have special offers on Docraft essentials and there is some reasonable things here
Then there is always a good craft sale here, although postage is a bit more, but the price of some of the things in the sale is very reasonable compared to the normal retail price. Hope that helps a little.

My SIL has gone to pick up DD and I have dragged my leg to the table. Hope to make a quick card, although what should be a quick card may take all day lol

well done Dragon, glad you at at least got a little info on your mum Tom's mum, Rusty take it easy and get onto the doctors, ummmmmm stuck now.

Great choice of name Melissa - my friend Jane's nickname is Tilly - how odd is that :D

had the day off today to take DD to the pictures and then shopping (fortunately her 2 fave shops are poundland and home bargains :rotfl:) saw Tangled - is Disney at it's absolute best. If you like Beauty and the beast you'll love it :D:D Feet hurt now tramping about the town but at least she has more than 1 pair of jeans she will wear now so she won't camp out near the washing machine watching them go round :rotfl::rotfl:

MissKaty - I don't know where you are but the works is good for cheapy bits as are the pound shops and home bargains - mad about cards has loads in its pound shop although delivery is quite expensive and it can take a while to arrive.

My new kipling bag arrived today - must swap my stuff over before OH gets home from Manchester - DD has her eye on the monkey :p
Am gonna try and take a piccy of the card I made last night but is all grey and dreich here this afternoon

Rusty sorry you are in pain again, hope things improve for you very soon.

Scatty - just added a card for your challenge to my bl*g. Really pleased with the way it has come out, considering I don't really do 'yellow'.

TomsMom - glad you have had some news on your mum for the hospital.

Padster - I've seen a card on your blog - the teenage boy one, and loved the way you have used the paper and image. Would you mind if I 'borrowed' your idea for a teenage card I need to do, as I have the same paper and image? I'll be adding a few extra embellishments to mine, so my card would look similar to yours, would this be OK? Glad you have had a good day with your DD. My youngest came home today, and said he wants to go and see Yogi, next week in half term. Have to say I am quite pleased as I fancy seeing it too - used to love the Yogi cartoons when I was a kid. How have things been at work for you this week?

Well done on your win Dragonlew - hope your mojo returns soon.

Will try and get all the birthday cards you sent me up on my blog tonight. I've photographed them, so am half way there.

It has turned really cold here today, and they are threatening snow apparently next week. I hope not, as I had enough of it when we got the last lot.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Snipped you sorry - case away - I'm flattered that you liked it.
Yogi was on our short list with a couple of others but she ended up picking from the time it started as she wanted to go to Maccy Ds for lunch :rotfl::rotfl:

Work is still sh1te - had my 1 to 1 on Tuesday and was asked to basically justify my existence again and was kind of put on notice that they may be considering ending my working from home arrangement - boss wouldn't even look me in the eye while talking to me and kept checking her email  - will cost me a fortune in childcare and fuel but more importantly will lose 2 hours a day of the rest of my life although it hasn't happened yet. OH was very supportive and said if push comes to shove I can hand my notice in which gives me a whole new problem coz I work to keep myself kind of normal IYKWIM so can now have a look to do something else that I might actually enjoy but have no idea what???????? I'm deffo gonna stay till July but would rather stick it out till this time next year when our loan will be paid off. It's kind of watch this space at the moment.

Fantastic moment on Monday - boss to my supervisor - Chris (her boss) says you didn't take any calls on Friday (most of her comments start with Chris says or Mary says it's never her) - supervisor to boss I was on leave, you signed my leave card and didn't you notice I wasn't sitting here (right outside her office) Priceless :rotfl::rotfl:
