So to make myself feel better I bought a card making magazine (or 3, maybe 4). So, as somebody who needs to curb her magazine spending habits I have a question for you lovely people (and even if you aren't lovely you can still answer)
If you could only buy one cardmaking/crafting magazine a month, which one would you buy? And any particular reason why?
I like craft stamper magazine but i always buy the docrafts creativity mag which is every 2 months .Craft stamper has some nice ideas and the docrafts one has ideas plus pics of all their new goodies lol.
PONR . I will be watching for him. lol. Carly and kobie had a punch up today they both wanted the free monkey from pg tips good job we'd bought 3 boxes then they could all have one. carly won the fight though determined little madam.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Right you orrible lot ... will you stop talking!! I mean how dare you make me read through 5 pages of waffle! :rotfl:
Ok so not waffle ....
things I remember ...
Flourgirl has a very carp bank - OH has his credit card with them and they keep adding charges as he apparently isn't paying even though 12 times he has set up a direct debit :rotfl: he says now that he refuses to pay them anything until they set it up, amazingly the DD was set up within 5 minutes and all charges were removed!
Bunbun - I can't believe they have done that ... you should have let me phone themyou know I lose speaking to them on the phone :rotfl: hope it arrives soon for you!
Padster - Is it Tesco credit card? OH has his stopped on a regular basis, to prevent fraud, which is great as they are on the ball for suspiciousness (is that a word?) but not so good when you need to pay for something!
Marg - Hope your (mum? or MIL?) gets better soon xxx sending hugs!
Soma - come back!! dont leave, you need to stay!
Right, I was due back last week to announce a winner .....
The winner of my freebie digi stamp is ....
Drum roll please ....
DRAGONLLEW! Well donewill pop something in the post for you tomorrow!
Can someone tell me what the current challenge is please?
I am trying to get upto date and in front with DT work, although I may well leave one DT ... seriously considering it! ... DD finishes nursery on wednesday, but has to go in the afternoon as they have a party, and DS finishes on Friday ... I am hoping I can drive to durham on thursday to see bunbun! fingers crossed!
Can someone help me ... DD woke up screaming and crying for OH on friday night, she said that a Donkey was tickling her ear, but we just couldn't understand it, and we came up with the fact they had had plays on and off all week at school, and wondered if the little boy who was dressed as a donkey maybe brushed past her? but then last night she was up screaming with the same thing, so I settled her in my bed and she woke an hour later screaming saying that my book was moving and scaring her?? Is it just a case of occasional night terrors? she really is in a right state when it happensWe had monsters earlier on in the year where they were under her bed, so I got magic monster spray (water bottle with water in it!) and I went in and made a big show of attacking the monsters and making them dissapear with the magis monster spray, and that got rid of them!

Morning folks. You've all been remarkably quiet on here!
Rusty - can't help with your daughter's terrors, my DD had night terrors for a brief period but that was cos there was horrible stuff going on her real life. I suppose you could try a dream catcher? Hope things smooth out soon. x
Congratulations Dragonlew0 -
Oh I meant to add this link for those of you children/grandchildren. It's a free personalised message from Santa. Did it for DS last year and this years is even better!

Not thought of that, will see how I get on this week and then may look into a dream catcher if things are still bad! Need to speak to the nursery today and see if anything happened!
Thanks for the link to PNP, I did an email one last year but notice they do a free app for the iPhone, iPad etc, so might just download the appRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Whoooooooo someone needs to look here - nice prize
Just in case you think I've flipped being on here so many times in one morning, I haven't DS is off school sick and I normally do my grandparents housework today, so thought I treat myself to some "me" time and visit blogs and forums that occasionally get neglected.
Rusty - this years message is even better as you can refer back to last years0 -
Rusty . You have my sympathy re the night terrors . Carly has them on a very regular basis she just screams for anything up to an hour or two and nothing really calms her down. We have to just sit and hug her and wait for her to calm down. Huge problem as we can't talk to her to calm her we have to sign and she won't always look.
If my craftwork card stuff doesn't come you can call them for me if you want.lol. My daughter ordered one of each of the goody bags .money went from the bank within a couple of days but not a word and no parcels either she's disgusted.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Well done winner :T fabby prize!
Rusty Sorry I can't offer any help, my children never experienced anything like that. Maybe think along the same lines as the magic monster spray??? If there's a donkey tickling her ear then perhaps open the window to let the donkey out ('cos it has wings and can fly), sort of thing.
Congrats Dragonllew :T
Flourgirl I'm with Alliance and Leicester as was, now Santander. We had enough trouble with A & L savings accounts, also an Abbey ISA, that all I've got now is my current account which my pension's paid into. They took a month to answer a letter so like a lot of people my opinion of the customer service is not great! It doesn't matter how good their rates are I'd never go back to a savings account with them. Hope you get everything sorted soon.
Georgie The only mag I buy regularly is the Docrafts one, mainly because of the price and there is always a free gift which is usually pretty good. Very occasionally I buy another one but that's usually when it's been mentioned on here with a particularly good freebie.
Hope you feel better soon, you need to get better for Christmas!
Soma Why not just pop in when you have time? It would be sad to see you go. Most people on here know I disappear for a couple of days or so every so soften as I find life takes over and I can't keep up. I didn't even turn my computer on on Friday and over the weekend with DH home from hospital I only popped on very quickly then promptly forgot what I read :rotfl: .
I managed to get most of my Christmas cards written and posted yesterday, thought I'd better get a move on with the delays with post. I never managed to make any more but I don't send hand made ones to everyone anyway. Is everyone else like me - there's an awful lot of people on my Christmas card list we never see and the only contact is the annual Christmas card?
Hope everyone is well and a bit warmer. Hugs to everyone.0 -
