I'll send them when they've done mine........... we're coming up for 4 weeks now as where I live we have fortnightly collections and it's not looking too hopeful for Wednesday atm. Where I work they have weekly plus they will collect up to 8 extra sacks plus a bin for a fortnight

our bin men are normally brill - saying that one lives next door but 2 so they generally make sure they get here :)

OAP - just about to put my challenge entry on my you know what

Tom's mum & Thrifty - I had an xmas card cull last year and now only send about 20 family ones and also make a donation to charity
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Soma - Please don't stay away just pop back when you can manage.

Kms - Hope all goes well at the dr's and it helps to dispel the gloom ((Hugs))

rainmac - well done on fundraising amount

TomsMum & Thrifty - I have similar thoughts every year! But sadly also got to the stage where I 'lose' one or two to bereavement each year too.

Rusty - sorry I have no experience to offer but I see some good suggestions above.

Wishful Rainmac & PONR - hope you feel better very soon.

OAP - will try to enter but time very short here. Hope your black cloud is lifted soon.

MIL has been discharged from hospital today. I'm sad to say that while the care she received was good and she is a lot better physically the administration of her discharge was/is grim. I'm hoarse from trying to get some sense from the agencies involved. They kept her prepacked dated meds, issued more in ordinary boxes, (so am expecting carers to refuse to give them to her) And some new meds to be given every other day but no clue which day!

Hugs to anyone else with the glums, hopefully they will soon go away - only a week now to the shortest day.
  • Marg - glad to hear your MIL is alot better. Some of these hospitals need abit of a shake up, don't know how they function as they seem to be in chaos.

Rainmac - forgot to say well done at the amount raised for your school fair.

Congrats to the latest winners - I forgot that in my previous posts! My head is not very clear with this cold and I can't concentrate too much. I have 2 sock monkeys waiting for eyes but just cannot concentrate enough to do them!!!

Gloomy here too today, really dark and miserable outside again :(

kms I hope you get on alright at the drs today, will be thinking about you x

Rainmac WOW!! What a fantastic amount to raise, well done. Postie has been :) thankyou xx

Rusty, Willow has nightmares from time to time, 1 girl at school was bullying her! she has a dreamcatcher over her bed too. One of mine had a spell of having spiders crawling over the bed in the end I bought all new bedding and quilt cover and it dissapeared like magic. I do sympathise with you, its awful when they wake up upset.

Marg glad to hear your MIL is feeling better

Padster Good news about your phone. I have written a letter of complaint to O2 about having to buy the top up and am waiting for a reply. My DH rang a different shop and spoke to the manager and she told him they couldn't sell a pay and go phone without the top up card even if the customer had a contract!!! My bin men are great too, I always put out a 4 pack on the last bin day before Christmas, I have noticed my neighbours now do this too.

Dragonllew Congratulations on your win x
