I have a box of four legs in the garage from ikea, you could try those but you'll be a bit shorter they are only about 6 to 8 " long. :rotfl:

I know the feeling i went the doc yesterday too for the same thing and he's upped my painkillers . Not much good though when it's really painful even trying to stand.

My mil had the injections in her knees and she though they were marvellous. She's had an op now though and has new knees.

  • Hello lovely ladies - hope everyone is well and just about on top of the Christmas prep.

I've got a day off to try and get some things done but am struggling to get motivated! A friend at work suddenly lost her sister at the weekend- she leaves 2 little ones and a so and so of an ex husband so no one knows if he'll even want the children - my friend could find herself a mum of 2 fairly soon. I tkind of puts everything else into perspective and I certainly gave DH and the boys some extra cuddles last night.

KMS - take care of yoursefl and hope the lump is OK. Artydoll and Cratygranny - I hope you both feel better soon.

I'm pretty sure Tomsmom is in need of some extra hugs too - but I'll send some out to everyone who needs some ((()))

I may try and enter OAPs challenge - I need to clear a path to my craft desk 1st though....the study seems to be moonlighting as an Amazon warehouse at the moment.

Right - better go and do something rather than just talk about it.

I too am not going to do Christmas cards for you ladies, I am truly sorry but I haven't got the time to make them and I'd hate to send something carp :( So lets all be MSE for once and not send each other cards but post our festive wishes on here instead. That way we all know we're thinking of each other and nobody has to brave the cold to post anything or be out of pocket ;)

Brilliant idea, rainmac, I would rather talk to everyone on here than have anyone at all fret about sending cards. The cost of postage is horrendous.

As you can see I'm back home and back to work as well, I had a brilliant time with the gorgeous GD's and York was as wonderful as ever.

Big hugs to everyone and stay warm.

OOOh glittermum i really feel for your friend . I was in a similar situation eight years ago when my brother died i gained 2 extra children 1 was 10 he's in the army now and the other was 12 and she's a mum herself now . But in their case it was mum who dumped them years earlier and didn't want to know. His fiancee at the time whom he'd lived with for 7 years rang mum and told her to collect the kids asap. So they may be better off with your friend than the ex.

Glittermum, that is so sad for the little ones, it's bad enough losing their mum and at Christmas time too, lets hope they have somewhere safe and warm and lots of loving real soon.

rusty, I hope DD is sleeping better, there's so much coming at the littlies these days via the TV and DVD's etc etc. The excitement in them is huge, I've been seeing it with my own eyes this weekend.

    Marg, glad MIL is better.

kms, keeping positive thoughts for you

artydoll and craftygranny and anyone else feeling under the weather, I hope you get some energy back soon and if you do, please send me some, I am in need!

padster Ours are normally good too - my only complaint is getting woken up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning - don't know why that's our bin day??

Marg That's good news that your MIL got out of hospital but shocking hassles with her meds.

KMS Got everything crossed for you for the docs today. Hugs

Glittermum That's such a shame for your friend - it's bad enough losing someone young but it's even worse at this time of year. It's such a shame for her little ones.

Wifey Glad you had a lovely weekend. When do your other grandkids arrive?

Sending everyone some warming hugs and big mugs of hot chocolate.

Mugs of hot chocolate would be wonderful, PepPop, please can I have one with the marshmallows in? I was just thinking of doing a mini diving routine into a BIG mug of choc and p'raps get a double bounce off the marshmallows, very festive!!

The next round of grandkids arrive from Canada next Thursday and they are counting the sleeps. It's also my son's 40th birthday too, (I was a child bride!) so there's going to be a big family party which is something we haven't done for years. My tum is groaning thinking about food already.
