CGC & TomsMom - hugs to you both
CT - well done on the new job
It started snowing here, but seems to have turned to rain again.
Hubby has bought me an electric Big Shot for Christmas (he doesn't know it yet) as I have a slipped disc and find the manual one hard-going.
Sorry I am always going AWOL, but life gets in the way lol.0 -
Hi everyone
I have been reading when I can but am afraid I cant remember much at all so would like to start by saying huge hugs to those that need them, happy birthday to those I have missed and in general a big hello to everyone.
Well the building work finishes today , what a haul !! and absolutly never again - there has been leaks, broken heating, roofing problems and thats just the beginning - Ive had lots of tears and tantrums but the worst is over - its decoarating now and I can live with that :-)) We have quite a few rooms finished completely which are the new sun room and the new extension, the lounge, the main bedroom and ensuite and the second ensuite and also the bathroom oh and also one of the spare rooms - they all look fabby and am so pleased with them. The dining room is being done at the moment.
I did manage to blog a card the other night and I have another that I will put on this evening, Ive also had a me day today and sat making my christmas cards.
Have had daughter and grandaughter staying for 10 days they went home monday - it was so lovely having them but was I tired when they went!
Lots of Love to you all

TomsMom how absolutely awful for your family to be treated like that, I've had endoscopies before but I've never had fluids stopped, they only do that if they put you out. It must be so frustrating for you all but please keep records of everything that has happened.
CG fingers, toes and eyes crossed for your mum. (THUD! oops, fell over)
Rusty please can you keep the snow until Monday as I am back to work Tuesday, I live the furthest away from the company and I do remind the guv'nor that I do NOT do snow! OK, I drive a Volvo but that's got nothing to do with it, it's the eejits from the power station that frighten me.
Flourgirl, absolutely fabby stuff on your blog
:eek:Shock! Horror! Gasp! That's not our Furry you've hung up in the background, is it, Rusty.
Glittermum did the late belated card arrive safely?
Just finished the 'thank you' cards for my grandaughter and her party has generated an order so Christmas cards are on the back burner. Hey Ho! Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
hello:embarasse
I am so sorry for the amount of time I have been away from here.
I had a nice time with rusty this morning and got a few bits and pieces from the papermill.
I am looking forward to the max papercraft show on Sunday
we don't have any snow yet but think it will appear overnight. I love the snow when there is no school but always have the dilemma of whether to make the effort to get the boys to school and hate driving in snow.
tomsmom I am so sorry to hear how the hospital have treated your family and hope your son goes home soon
CGG glad to hear all went well with your mum's operation and fingers crossed for the resultssaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -
Rusty - thank you for the information about X boxes. I've asked him which one. It's good that you can get them on Amazon - much easier for me to get that way & within budget. Please don't send the snow here - I love to look at it but that's as far as it goes. We've got MIL's birthday lunch on Sunday and need all the guests to turn up!
Scatty Jan - hurrah that the worst is over - I'd missed you posting on here.
Wishfulcomper - like your style with Christmas pressie from DH.
 Bunbun - good to see you here0 -
Just running in quickly ....
Stopped snowing ... started raining to the point me and DD got soaked whilst waiting for DS to come out of school ... got home and about 30 mins ago it started snowing again bear in mind the floor is very wet so snow won't settle ... WRONG!
OH is on his way home thank goodness, although will be a very dangerous journey as he is on the motorbike  why won't he listen to me when I say it is too cold to take the bike north! .... he will get soaked from any rain/snow and will then freeze cause of temperaturesbe home by midnight I should think! fingers crossed he makes it home safely!

Hello all
Tomsmom, I am disgusted as the hospital treatment or rather lack of treatment . I have a friend who is a ward nurse and she says she is often left on her own with one junior nurse to cope with running the ward, it's ridiculous and so dangerous. My friend hates it. It was deemed by the neurologist that my mum saw after being in hospital that her being connected to an empty oxygen tank all night contributed to her having stroke-like symptoms the following morning. Nobody picked this up at the time and the doctors on the ward (all junior doctors) told my mum she had had a mini stroke
Flourgirl, very well done on the Ladybug top 3 :T
Choccy, huge well done on being featured on UK Scrappers :j
Rusty, I haven't heard from Mel but will drop her a line and let you know how she is
Hi Bunbun, Scatty & Wishfulcomper x
I don't want the snow coming south, we are off to London on Sunday to see the big man in the red suit, the boys are so excited, I don't want us not being able to get there.
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Tom's mum - that is just appalling treatment - I did try and reply earlier but my lappy froze probably in shock at what i was thinking
OH made me eat peas with my tea last night - I don't really do a) veg without a proper roast dinner or b) green food. Unfortunately neither do my teeth as I am now half a one short. It's not hurting just feels odd so when can I get in at the dentist.............................7th December................ wouldn't mind so much but I'm private. The receptionist said if it starts hurting ring back and we'll double book you with someone
Rusty your snow pic crossed with my post - you can keep that horrible stuff up there near the north pole where it belongs - I really hope you don't need your new snow shovel Flourgirl as that's far too close for comfort lol!Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

TomsMum - Very cross with the NHS on your behalf - I'm beginning to think that we would be better without it - as long as they cut taxes and have some form of free insurance cover for those who can't afford it.
My Granny has been in and out of hospital for most of this year now - she's 85 and last week she was supposed to be being discharged Friday lunchtime. she waited and waited around all day - they came to her bed at 11.30 PM !!!!!!!Yes quarter to midnight and said they were ready to move her!!! She told them where to go and went back to sleep. Serously - what were they thinking?? (apart from the obvious - wanting the bed for someone else).
No crafting for me again - I have an interview tomorrow and have to prepare - only found out about it Monday afternoon.
Keep up the good work - I might have to buy some Christmas cards from some of you at this rate ;-)0
