CG, thinking of you today xxx
flourgirl, got your parcel today thank you (not opened it, I promise!) and have popped my sketch challenge card on the old blog x
Rusty, I'd love some kraft cards but not those if they are flimsyI love the look of kraft cards when I see them on other people's blogs.
I missed out on the hot choccy last night so will have to have some tonight if anyone wants to join me. I gave the Webb Ivory order the heave ho last night and made 4 cards instead using images that I'd already stamped. I had a great evening and got glamour dust everywhere
I've had quite a productive morning cleaning, need to sort this blasted Webb Ivory order really but I can't face it, why oh why do I offer to do this stuff... need a cuppa first...
I also missed out on the hot choccy! I think we should all move and be closer to eat other ... use baby monitors between houses and then meet up and drink hot choccy and craft all night once the monkeys are in bed ... or have a baysitting rota! LOL
This lady Mary she is on the LCI design team with me and I absolutely love her cards, they are so beautiful, she regularly uses Kraft card for blanks, but she used Bazill and cuts and scores it herself, wonder if it is worth trying, must be strong enough as she puts loads on outside and inside of her cards and they always look professional?Rainmac Yours for the hot chocolate tonight then - do you want me to bring the mini-marshmallows and cream?

CG I've been thinking about you today and hope all has gone well.
Well done Flourgirl :T and anyone else who's been picked lately.
I was going to come on here and tell you I'd managed to make a couple of cards and put them you know where, but true to form as of late everything has gone haywire again.
I mentioned that my DS was waiting for an operation in the men's department and that he has been in pain for many months. He has been prescribed ibuprofen all this time, maximum dose because of the pain. Well yesterday he was coughing and vomiting up blood and was rushed into hospital. The cause is probably the ibuprofen as this is one of the side effects. The GP had him on a drip in the surgery as he was so dehydrated. The hospital kept him on a saline drip and an anti-sickness drip. He arrived about 7pm and d-i-l stayed with him until about 11.30pm and he still hadn't been seen by a doctor. He rang her at 10am today and again still hadn't been seen . At 11am he signed a form for an endoscopy to be carried out this afternoon and because this was on the cards he had nothing to eat or drink since he arrived last night.
At 5pm today he still has not had the endoscopy and he still has not been allowed anything to eat or drink. He's starving and thirsty and has asked d-i-l to take him some food and something to drink with her tonight. I can't believe they can leave someone without food or drink for so long. The last time he had anything was 11am yesterday so that's 30 hours up to now.
I honestly can't believe that something else has happened. When's it going to end? Are we being tested? I'm so very p1ssed off with it all. Even DH's radiotherapy has been delayed, he should have started next Monday after tomorrow's scans but he now has to have extra scans next Wednesday and treatment should start next Thursday. There is no bed for him next week so he will have to travel up to 5 hours' round trip on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for 15 mins treatment. They're hoping to find him a bed for the following weeks but no promises.
Oh dear, I've got my moany head on today, I'll shut up now.
I've done a bit of blog hopping and left a few comments, all very random I'm afraid. I'll never catch up properly but will do my best to keep popping over to your blogs and admire your makes. Not sure when I'll find time to blog mine. I even bought some Christmas cards at the weekend as I don't think I'll manage to do many more .
DD is coming on Friday and staying till Sunday so I've got to tidy up my craft desk (and her bed where a lot of my stuff is) and clean the room. It's her last visit before Christmas so I've got to wrap all their pressies up. It seems too early, not even December yet.
I'd better get off, 3 grandkids and 2 dogs need looking after while their mom visits daddy and that hospital is 60 miles away too!
Sorry for the long moany post. Hugs to everyone.0 -
TomsMom sending massive cyber hugs your way, that is a dreadful way for a hospital to treat someone, hope your son voices his opinion if he hasn't been seen by tonight!
CG Thinking of you too x
Well have made a card but so tired am going to chill out tonight, have 6 days off after tomorrow so hopefully will get the majority of my projects finished by then0 -
tomsmom- the NHS is turning into a joke, they initially prescribed my mum ibuprofen as well, then 3 days later she collapsed. i don't think they listen, either that or so many people go to see them, with 'silly' reasons everybody gets treated the same. i do know they are very busy at the moment, and where my mum is they have been using broken beds. they have also been letting my mum 'deal' with a patient. he also has a brain tumour but it has effected his speech, but with patience you can understand him, however the nurses haven't been bothering and just ignoring his 'drivel'. but then on the otherhand just yesterday the staff nurse was sat colouring in mini santa's for christmas, 1hr after moaning they were really busy!
but none of that excuses they way your son has been treated. you really should write a letter of complaint, and mention about the way your husband is being messed around. at times like these you don't need messing around.
thanks for all your kind thoughts, the jelly legs feel better and my dad is sat with my mum. they have removed the tumour and we just have to wait for the results, to confirm it isn't cancer- craft party at my house if it isn't! i'm not visiting her tonight as the sight of the head bandage and drain from the back of her head will make me pass out- i don't do hospitals very well.0 -
CGC - Good idea to stay at home - I've always been the same - even 'simple' things like visiting a broken leg ward used to make me pass out and I became a bit of a joke because of it but I must say I have got a lot better as I've got older.
Tomsmum - What a disgrace! I can (sort of) understand no food but nothing to drink after being dehydrated is so wrong. I wonder if they might decide to do the op now he's in there? Surely things have got to start getting better for you now. ((Hugs)) PS I got my first Christmas card today from our old neighbours they must have nothing better to do!!
Well done Flourgirl :j
Many Happy Returns of Yesterday for Aimee x0
