Snow is back here again ... and Paul is stranded, snow is too bad and he had to pull into the services ... cafe only open until 9
I need to go pick him up (4 hour drive) but the A1 is shut in several places on the way north!! I feel like crying
I am stuck here and can't get him home! anyone got a helicopter?
Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
DTB Are you NHS or private? if private you want to take your complaint much higher! Gosh It really is a postcode lottery isn't it!! I have had nothing but good treatment from either the NHS or the dentist, although I had to go private with the dentist as I couldn't get NHS, brilliant service but the prices
Rusty I know my earlier post was a bit tongue in cheek but the weather forecast your neck of the woods is 2 - 4 cm tonight with another 2 - 4 cm tomorrow, wish you the best of luck... don't cry he is better safe than sorry on a bike
Nothing on telly so OH playing war games, going to try and get some cards done and blog hop as so far behind0 -
Evening everyone - have had awful trouble trying to post on MSE over the last two nights. The site kept crashing and was really "sticky".
Rusty - hope ds's head was okay. Nightmare about oh being stuck in snow - let us know how you get on.
Flourgirl - loved your card using Rusty's freebie. What bp did you use?
Rainmac -hope you got finished with your Web Ivory orders (gosh that brought back memories). Enjoy going to see Santa - now I'm really jealous.
Cgc and TomsMom -huge (((hugs))) to you both. I felt the strain that you are both under leaping off the page - so please, please remember to look after yourselves.
Choccie - well done :T. That whisk was a brilliant idea.
Dawnteabag - omg at that receptionist . I hear you all about the NHS - I'm still smarting with the lady Psychiatrist who told me that Asperger's Syndrome was a "fashion". Hmmnnn why was ds's Autistic score so high that it was almost off the scale then - strange....
OAP - has the snow reached you yet ??
Hugs to all and mugs of hot chocolate all round tonight, Thriftyxxx0 -

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed for Paul to get home safely, Rusty. (THUD! oops, done it again) Get the fire stoked up, I bet his b*m will be cold on the bike.
I'll be up in Lunnon on Saturday too, rainmac, we are taking afternoon tea at a posh 'otel.
It winds me up no end talking about the NHS, all the monies we pay in taxes and NI in our wages and that's all we've got. Too much weight at the top of the chain. The guy at the top of the chain at our local hospital got caught in a new lift with a claustrophobic and the lift was stuck for quite awhile, there was few smiley faces that day, the nurses were giggling and laughing while I was waiting for a bed the other week. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Oh wifey that's made me smile!
I'm not normally an NHS-basher - I'm sure there are thousands of people doing their best every day but what annoys me is all these management layers being brought in to run the NHS like a business, Number 1 - it's not a business. It's a monopoly for most of us.
Number 2 - if it was a business it would have gone bust by now - you just wouldn't accept what we get from a business and would go elsewhere.0 -
rusty hope OH backs it back soon and more importantly safely
the wife that made me smile too:D
DTB the cheek of that receptionist:eek:
rainmac have a fab time on Saturday:j
mad frog thanks for the weather report:T if the snow is bad tomorrow OH's school will probably be closed as it is in an area of County Durham that always gets the snow worse than anyone else. he can sort the boys out for school:D

£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -

Rusty, big hugs winging their way to you and sending my personal helicopter to your OH (if only, sorry

 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
DTB - that's appalling!!!!! DD had a bit drop out of her tooth runs in the family
) and she was seen the same day.
It seems to be so difficult to get past the rotweiller on the desk although I can honestly say I've never had a problem with either the drs or the hospital here.
We had a little bit of snow earlier but it's stopped again now - guess this isn't Paul at the moment Rusty?
And another freebie here Bear alert!Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
