  • Quick question Re: the audit company that doesn't like to be named - Do I still have to file an invoice with them? It's been about three years since I did any work for them, and when I log in to the site, the invoice link is broken.

Just had a bit of a giggle with one MS company as one client added some locations in Kent yesterday to be done by TODAY (Guess they don't listen to weather reports). They are requesting extensions :)

Finally picked up a job at Heathrow for next Thursday -still not got breakfast paid for though-Unheard of !! If anyone sees any Terminal 3 food jobs please nudge me.

Right off out to do one shop on foot then back in the warm- I have so many layers on I look like the Michilen man :D
I have just had to release one from TMDC as needs to be submitted by 9am the next morning and I won't be able to do that.
    Now on the 5:2 diet.

    Lost 25 1/2 lbs :j:j:j 33 1/2 lbs to go

Yes you do, but they will e mail it to you for you to complete.
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
  • Silly me. Had full intentions of completing my 5 death shops and cold country today.

First death shop took 45 minutes to get to (should be 15). Completed :D

Next death shop took 30 minutes to get to (should be 5). Closed!

Back on motorway, blizzard hits, can't see, sliding everywhere, car starts flashing its warning lights at me (at this point I'm hysterical).

Decide to continue on motorway and head home before I become a casualty. By now I'm hyperventilating and praying.

Have left a message with MS company regarding any chance of an extension as I really want to do these assignments.

Has anyone had any joy with them giving extensions due to this bad weather. :(
  • Sat at work and it's been snowing heavy for over an hour. Asked my boss, is there a point where non essential staff are sent home (i.e. ME!).

Her responce,...oh....ur....don't no....i've packed my over night bag (she lives a while away).

Well, thats all very well but you don't pay me enough to sleep in the office love, and you can find me a shovel to dig my car out or pay for me a taxi.

I don't know whether i'll even be able to get home but not gonne spend the night in the office lol
Just go home. Tell her you're taking a half day and if she doesn't like it, tough. Some people! (especially women bosses) are on some sort of power trip.

Don't all jump down my throat, it's a generalisation as I've had just as many female and male bosses and the women in my opinion are the worst. Some have been okay but I prefer the male boss myself.
  • Went out this morning and got to the end of the road only to find that all traffic on the mian road was at a standstill so turned back. Waited a couple of hours till the sun came out and tried again. This time got as far as the first shop and the snow came on with a vengence!! (Complete whiteout from nowhere). Got back in the car and only just managed to get home.

Moral of the story: Don't be foolled by a little bit of sunshine it's still very cold and nasty out there.

    Stay safe folks.

She's quite nice and relaxed when we need to cut the day short for other things. Just not very decisive at times.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

I had an email from Tern yesterday at 11.30am asking me to contact them by 2.30pm regarding a job that I was supposed to be doing for them. I was at work at the time and didn't get the email until I returned home that evening. Because I didn't contact them by 2.30 they have deactivated my account. Is this normal behaviour for them? If it is then I probably don't want to work for them anyway (it's taken me months to get any work with them and there are a lot of mystery shops available to me in my area, I guess because there aren't many mystery shoppers here) but if it's not I might try to get it activated again.

Give TERN a ring generally they are pretty good but if you didn't set your date in SASSIE within 48hrs the assignment will be deactivated.

BTW-- REmember everyone your self employed with these companies don't let them take the Mick when it comes to completing assignments they have to be reasonable!-- your not employed by them they don't have the right to be pushy.! especially since the UK isn't geared for this weather!
  • I've always found Tern a great company to work for, I'd call them and ask why.
