  • I've not seen a postman/courier since Friday...

No post yesterday or today here ... and we only have half an inch of snow. How are they going to manage when there's feet of it??!!

I've now got about 2 feet and not had any central heating since Thursday. Friday evening I managed to borrow a fan heater from a neighbour

gasman is supposedly on his way to me as I type- walking from main road he said!
Not sure how's he's going to get into the garage to the boiler tho even if he does get here...
  • Postman came by here today despite the snow, very valiant.

On my way to the one shop I have within walking distance I bumped into a neighbour walking to the next town where I had one to do and a few other errands to run -so walked across a massive park-weirdly no kids out playing or sledging but couple more completed and did the local one on the way home.

Focus group to do after work (from home) tonight and I'll see what tomorrow brings for the further afield ones

All my jobs are having to be postponed or cancelled. No mail or refuse collections here and I'm waiting for loads of deliveries which have got held up.

I hope you soon get it fixed. This is not the weather to be without heating

Gasman arrived through the snow in wellies and a woolly hat although not on a white charger!
Sadly it needs a new part and the plumbers merchants are all closed, so he's coming back as soon as he can get the part.

I'm now being a bit pathetic carrying the fan heater from room to room as I move round the house...got the bunny in a blanket as he keeps trying to fight the fan heater :)

Hi hoping someone can quickly explain to me about Tax and stuff,

I registered years ago with a mystery shopping company and now I have a job and moved to london they contacted me in june to see if I wanted to do an online shop, they only pay £7 but you get refunded for the shopping.

I see all this stuff here about Tax and National insurance, do i register self employed even though I have a full time job?

do I only pay tax - NI on money earned from Mystery shopping? so as long as I dont earn over £5k mystery shopping I shouldnt have to pay anything or will my income from my proper job make it complex.

Also as the shopping is refunded and then given to me as it essentially becomes a by-product of the process does that mean I have only earned £14 for the two shops (meaning do i include the cost of the 'Free' shopping)

    advice would be great.
Mortgage Balance £182,789.00 of £259,250.00 Overpayment Total £48,847.13
Monthly payment down £258.82 Overpaid last month £1096.38
    End of month 11/2017
