Silly me. Had full intentions of completing my 5 death shops and cold country today.

First death shop took 45 minutes to get to (should be 15). Completed :D

Next death shop took 30 minutes to get to (should be 5). Closed!

Back on motorway, blizzard hits, can't see, sliding everywhere, car starts flashing its warning lights at me (at this point I'm hysterical).

Decide to continue on motorway and head home before I become a casualty. By now I'm hyperventilating and praying.

Have left a message with MS company regarding any chance of an extension as I really want to do these assignments.

Has anyone had any joy with them giving extensions due to this bad weather. :(

Well I spoke to an account manager at 9.30 this morning and am still awaiting a call back.

I think they are a bit "snowed under" if you will excuse the pun :rotfl:with shoppers unable to complete because of the snow. I have emailed them and left a message so they cant say they were not told.....although 99% of the time they are REALLY good, so I would think you will be fine.

Stayy warm and safe, no job is worth you risking your life for xx

It's cold out there, but I think I'm going to face my freezer shops. Not real reason not to, except for it's warm in here.

I've got no chance of going anywhere today...been told unless things improve drastically by Friday then I've got the rest of the week off.

I think you're near me, Manchester area aren't you MG? I have a job at the Trafford centre tonight which I might cancel. It was fine when I arrived at work at 8am, but I'm in a windowless office, so no idea what it's like now. Might wander upstairs for a peek out then make the decision.

Yes I was on the motorway between Northenden and Wythenshawe when the s**t hit the fan. Its snowing again now and I really need to get out to get supplies for my other job but I'm just waiting to see what it does outside.

    Plenty of surveys though!

I've got plenty but we're not getting any post, I know the supermarket deliveries are cancelled, and I've not seen any couriers. Wonder how long it will take to actually get the stuff!

This time got as far as the first shop and the snow came on with a vengence!! (Complete whiteout from nowhere).

That happened to us! Took the dogs out round the field with my 3 year old daughter as it looked clear, then right when were at the furthest point from home, a blizzard sprung up from nowhere. Could only see a couple of feet in front of us and was a bit nervous, but the dogs didn't seem bothered and were still running around like lunatics.

We go on a circular path and by the time we got back to the beginning, the footprints we'd made about 20 mins earlier had vanished!
Here I go again on my own....
  • I've not seen a postman/courier since Friday...
