As far as I know this is correct. My parents have been self employed for years, and this is what they have always done.
Same applies to things like Internet costs, Printing (unless you just cost per page at their standard rate - can't think off the top of my head what that cost is but I'm sure a quick search could tell you.) etc
Printing is 6p per page.0 -
I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong
) that you're supposed to work out the proportion of time spent on business vs personal use, and only claim that proportion of calls and monthly cost.
If you work for a company and they give you a mobile with personal use included it's not a taxable benefit. Therefore I've always worked on claiming the full amount. The tax difference is very negligible but every little helps.
Think it's like a lot of things tax related - if you can pick a line and argue the case for it then there's usually not a problem0 -
Just done a quick search...

My argument would be as calls texts and Internet are all inclusive it's nigh on impossible to create a personal / business percentage0 -

So how literal are they when they talk about 'sandwiches'? Is it just the slices of bread loaf and filling type sandwiches they are looking for comments on, or do they count rolls count as 'sandwiches' too?
Thanks muchly
I have just returned from my coffee shop. You were not imagining the rolls .. Mine had them too (and other flavour sandwiches that were not on the web menu printout I've been using for the past few months of visits)
Hope that reassures you !!0 -

That IS a relief
I was starting to doubt myself for a minute that I even went to the right chain, since Pennies and BM are both a lot more experienced than me.0 -

RA historical visits has GFK lost the contract
Well, if my experience of their project co-ordination is normal, then wouldn't be surprised. Responded promptly to their email with the urgent NTR jobs on Saturday, saying I could do one or two in North Yorkshire on Sunday. No response and then see on their website today that they are still available.....
Pretty sure I fit their criteria and I was going to go there anyway, so didn't even ask for anything extraJanuary 2012 GC £296.96/£3000 -
