  • Ok so I should probably know better than this since i've been doing MSing for more than a year now, but it's my first react coffee shop.

So how literal are they when they talk about 'sandwiches'? Is it just the slices of bread loaf and filling type sandwiches they are looking for comments on, or do they count rolls count as 'sandwiches' too?

    Thanks muchly

I count the sandwiches separate from the toastie ones. There aren't any rolls, only paninis so you should be safe on that score!

Another tip, I like to sit as close as I can to the sandwich counter so I can make notes from my seat if I have missed anything.

Download the Pdf from their web-site. It has all their products on it.

Thanks Pennies, but I just did the one in the stationary store in town and there were definitely rolls. It even said 'Roll' on the wrapping. Very confused.

Yeah I tried that before asking thanks BM, but I think it's an old one. It doesn't have some of the flavours I saw on there, and seems to be dated June-August. Sigh.

Ooh I have never seen rolls at the coffee shops before. I do apologise then! I would mention it in the report as there being x amount of sandwiches and then x amount of rolls. That way they shouldn't query the report!

I used to get allocated these regularly, so I did a little chart on a piece of paper with flavours as abbreviations. Then I would type the abbreviations into my phone as a text message. Worked a treat. Didn't get allocated any this time round. Oh well.

Don't do it! Just check your emails once a week, that's all you need to do.

Says MG who lives within walking distance from Skiergirl. ;)

Thanks to everyone who replied - looks like the phone shops may come in useful ;)

I went on a hmrc course a couple of weeks ago - its definitely allowable as a business expense ;)

That's ok, thanks for replying, they might be new or something I suppose! Thats what i've gone with in the end. I said there was x amount of sandwiches and listed the flavours, and also added that there were x amount of rolls and toasties also available. I've written down the flavours on my notes too just incase they ask later.

What i did was cost anything over my 'normal' contract as business.

My tarrif had been £20 for two years. It's now £40. So i charge £20 as 'business' as i wouldn't have had to pay over £20 normally but i do as it gets my emails etc etc for work.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
